The Emerging Channels Marketing Lead role on the Adult In-line Team is responsible for developing marketing strategies for emerging channels (pharmacy, long term care, dialysis, etc) as well as representing the marketing team directly with customers. This individual will be tasked with driving strategies and tactics that will fuel the fastest growing channels of Prevnar 13 Adult business.
The individual in this role will be entrusted to develop and evolve the marketing strategy for emerging channels, including pharmacy, long term care and dialysis. They will partner with our channel solutions account team to engage with key customers to develop tailored marketing plans to unlock potential for Prevnar 13 adult. This individual will partner with the HCP, Consumer, Access and Market Shaping teams to develop plans and resources that deliver mutual value for Pfizer and our customers. This role requires demonstrated ability to mobilize colleagues to action, excellent project management skills, ability to work collaboratively with a cross-functional team, ability to translate insights into action and a strong understanding of marketing fundamentals. Previous marketing team experience is required and experience with pharmacy or retailers is preferred. This position is based in Pfizer Collegeville, PA. This position reports to the US Brand Team Leader for Prevnar 13 Adult.
Responsibilities
This Emerging Channels Marketing Lead will be responsible for collaborating across sales and marketing teams to create and drive execution of strategies and tactics to unlock potential with pharmacy, retail, long term care and dialysis customers and drive impact for Prevnar 13 Adult.
Specific responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:
• Lead marketing strategy development for pharmacy, long term care, dialysis and employers
• Develop marketing plans by channel and for key customers, including partnerships, media and in-store promotion, in partnership with HCP, Consumer, Access and Market Shaping colleagues
• Evolve and lead the learning plan for emerging channels to uncover customer insights that will shape the marketing strategies within channels and for key customers.
• Represent marketing to key customers in partnership with channel solutions team colleagues.
• Ensure cross-channel and cross-functional understanding and alignment to emerging channel marketing strategies and tactics.
• Implement the US operating plan and strategic plan for emerging channels that accounts for both near and long term strategic and financial goals
• Measure the impact of marketing initiatives, generate early learnings, and drive continuous improvement
• Collaborate and align with marketing team counterparts and cross-functional team members to ensure the plans work in synergy to deliver overall revenue and profit objectives
• Lead point of contact with channel solutions sales organization to ensure exceptional execution, engagement, prioritization and sharing of ideas.
• Marketing point of contact for labeling considerations.
• Assist in the execution of organizational plans to meet critical business planning deliverables including annual operating plan, budgets and long range forecasts
• Exhibit a high performance OWN-IT approach to develop strategies, identify opportunities and manage key issues to achieve revenue objectives
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with all key functions, including but not limited to sales, medical, BAI, legal, finance, and regulatory
• Conduct all responsibilities in accordance with Company policies, with a strong adherence to our Values including compliance
• This role will have 1 direct report
Qualifications
• Undergraduate degree (BS/BA) required. MBA strongly preferred
• 10+ years of pharmaceutical industry experience. Vaccines experience a plus.
• Brand marketing experience required. Retail marketing experience preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-based environment and demonstrate leadership with internal/external stakeholders partners
• Demonstrated strong strategic/analytic skills in order to help set brand strategy, team priorities
• Strong verbal and written communication skills - ability to mobilize key stakeholders and engage leadership
• Ability to engage and influence cross-functional colleagues, even without direct reporting relationships
• Demonstrated success in influence/negotiation; able to build and maintain productive/collaborative relationships
• Strong business acumen, analytical skills and demonstrated flexibility
• Ability to navigate internal organization/processes
