The Director of Account Management (Flex Medical Segment) will be based in San Jose, CA but will require travel. Initially the travel expectation is 50% but long-term will be closer to 25% but will include international travel several times throughout the year

Provides comprehensive solutions to complex problems with Flex's customer accounts. The Global Account Manager will develop and implement programs, projects and processes for assigned customer accounts, thereby strategically managing the customer relationship road map.

Account Advocate – responsible for all aspects of the customer account and commercial relationship.
Full global responsibility for customer Profit & Loss to meet and exceed annual revenue growth targets.
Establishes and manages current customer relationships, striving to capitalize on organic revenue growth opportunities.
Manages the customer road map from a strategic relationship perspective.
Negotiates contract terms and/or amends established contract terms and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with customers.
Defines the Business Unit organization structure and staffs appropriately. Manages the team to effectively support customer contract terms and SLAs.
Owns the execution of operational SLA delivery and escalations.
Accountable to ensure proper program management leadership is assigned to the customer at factory sites
Understands every aspect of the customer (products, pricing, commercial terms, etc)
Develops Account Plan: analyze and understand customer strategies, future product plans, and expansion activities to better identify opportunities. Strategic capability to look beyond the customer and understand the end market and industry.
Develops and sponsors tactics to achieve strategic objectives across functional groups or within a business group through senior/executive-level customer interaction.
Responsible for the Request for Proposal (RFP) process for assigned customer accounts.
Full responsibility for continuous improvement of customer relationship performance metrics and customer satisfaction.
Assumes leadership role in site-level strategic planning meetings.
Manages and drives the quarterly review process with assigned customer accounts.
Positions Flextronics Supply Chain Platform Service Offerings (Manufacturing, Design and Engineering, Elementum, Lab IX, Infinex, Component Services)
Here is some of what you’ll need (required)…
Minimum of 5-7+ years of large account management experience supporting major accounts in the medical device industry (aerospace may also be considered)
Successfully demonstrate the ability to solve complex problems in a customer-facing role
Background and/or experience in business development or direct sales
Knowledge of medical (capital equipment) is a major plus
Previous exposure to and knowledge of both manufacturing and design processes
Operational experience (experience with full P&L responsibilities)
Strong knowledge of electronics
