Develop the system engineering force (people, tools, processes) to support business growth of Services across North America,
Lead Bids and support Project execution on system engineering.

Develop and manage a team of System Engineers and Electrical Designers, to address Service business, especially Train & System overhauls.
Improve continuously tools and processes, in line with corporate guidelines.
Lead all technical bids managed from Naperville when it concerns Train & System overhauls, with the objective to meet/exceed customer expectation on quality, schedule and cost. On request, support other technical bids of Service NAM.
Support all projects on system engineering, and make sure with the Project Engineering Managers that system engineering scope is delivered according to QCD requirements.
When needed, involve directly himself in :
Production of engineering deliverables
Meeting with customers and suppliers
Coordination of other Alstom units
Validation of prototype
Must be familiar with matrix organization, innovative in order to find competitive advantage and support business development, and result driven when it’s about project execution.

Candidate Requirements
Educational Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering; or combination of education and/or training.
Experience (Essential Functions)
Five years minimum of experience in design, manufacture, test, or overhaul of equipment for railroad rolling stock.
Working Conditions (Industrial/Environmental)
Working conditions, i.e. shifts, overtime, exposure to environmental hazards etc. Attachment B list common environmental factors use it to determine the environmental requirements for this position.
