Director Product Design User Experience Spotify Boston

What you’ll do

You’ll partner closely with engineering, product and insights to improve the way users engage with our product. You’ll provide the thought leadership to inspire and develop the right product strategy.

Let users lead the way. You’ll deal with unique and proprietary data around music and think broadly of ways to aggressively leverage that data to deliver a more relevant and personalized experience for our users.
You’ll ensure teams are leading with a user-centred approach, remembering the holistic strategy, and ensuring quality in their delivery.

You’ll build bridges. You’ll communicate what your organization is capable of and actively make connections throughout the company to inspire others teams to better leverage data to further the user experience.

Work from our Boston office, with frequent collaboration and travel to our NYC and Stockholm offices.
Who you are:

You have at least 10 years of experience designing at consumer-focused tech or media companies
You’ve shipped many consumer products over the years, and understand what it takes to create awesome, consumer-oriented experiences.
You’re a mix of art and science. You understand how to blend data and design to craft interesting experiences for your users.
You’re a great communicator. You have the communication skills to help set up frameworks and brainstorm initial design concepts. You also have the ability to mentor others to deliver work, and make strategy come to life.
You have a people-focused design mentality. You are familiar with quantitative research methods, comfortable with metrics and A/B tests, and are able to synthesise quantitative data with qualitative user research.

You are able to provide a brief explanation in your application of why you are excellent for this role, while highlighting your portfolio
