Facebook is seeking a Director of Electronic Discovery Services to lead the company’s information discovery strategy and manage a team of professionals responsible for supporting global litigation activities. This position reports to the Vice President and Deputy General Counsel of Litigation and is based at our headquarters in Menlo Park, California.
Lead our electronic discovery strategy in support of litigation activities and regulatory investigations
Negotiate discovery scope and details with opposing counsel and government regulators
Manage a team of eDiscovery, paralegal and data science professionals
Utilize various technologies to facilitate discovery and manage electronic data
Streamline data collection processes and advise on internal and external information policies
Minimum Qualifications
J.D degree with membership in at least one state bar
7+ years of experience managing electronic discovery projects
Experience managing litigation and regulatory collections
Experience training document reviewers and managing the full review/production/privilege determination process
Experience with technical discovery applications and software
People management experience
Preferred Qualifications
Technology company experience
Technical background (i.e. technical degrees or previous experience in a technical role)
Experience publishing whitepapers and/or delivering public talks on the subject of information discovery
