Symantec’s Website Security team is looking for a highly motivated, performance-driven online sales and digital marketer to join our team. In this role, you will own and drive customer acquisition and engagement including SEM, SEO, display, mobile, social, remarketing, landing page optimization & conversion – all while delivering on KPI’s. You will also be driving the build and implementation of a holistic website strategy across all web properties and multiple brands as well as deliver on a new web platform and infrastructure.
The Director, Digital Marketing & Online Sales will work closely with the Digital Business & Marketing Leader to define strategic objectives, determine marketing opportunities, and participate in the discussion regarding web channel optimization, budget deployment, and resource allocation.
Candidates must have demonstrate a strong bias for action and drive to resolution with prior experience managing corporate websites for B2B companies, with a strong track record of defining and delivering initiatives that drive marketing success. The successful candidate is passionate about online experiences, highly analytical, and has the ability to influence cross-functionally to deliver results.
Responsibilities / Job Duties:
Optimize and implement best practices across all digital marketing programs, including: SEM, SEO, display, mobile, video, and social, with an eye to driving new customer acquisition, customer engagement, and ultimately, conversion.
Oversee and drive web content and site localization strategies with ongoing content updates to our websites, including copy, content/resources and SEO, and content translation projects to keep the experience fresh, engaging, and relevant. Assess content effectiveness, and drive alignment between marketing campaign narratives and the website user experience and KPIs.
Continually test and optimize - from A/B testing CTAs and content placements to optimizing lead gen form flows, this position will drive the strategy for website testing.
Guide programs/projects from conception to completion, overseeing all aspects including requirements gathering, scope definition, resource planning, project timeline, budget management, risk management and change control.
Drive the web analytics reporting agenda, defining tools, key performance metrics, and socialization of performance. Continuously set goals, track metrics, and conversion rates with an optimization frame-of-mind.
Manage and track media budgets and sales projections while optimizing ROI.
Present and communicate results of key web initiatives, digital marketing campaigns, and online sales throughout the team and with the Leadership Team.
Build and lead a performance-driven growth team spanning paid media, conversion flow optimization, social, SEO, etc.
Skills / Experience:
10+ years’ digital marketing and online sales experience, preferably with a B2B background. Substantive experience working directly with software products.
Bachelor’s degree required, advanced degree preferred.
Passionate about B2B lead gen, web optimization, web analytics, and online sales. Experience with web content strategy, localization, paid media, owned media, site merchandising, testing and analytics.
Strong track record of managing significant global web properties with experience defining website information architecture, layout, and navigation in support of user-centric design strategies.
Experience and demonstrated capability to make data driven decisions to continually optimize and drive the customer funnel.
Exceptional communication/interpersonal skills to clearly articulate ideas, frame problems and offer solutions. Strong leadership track record with ability to work effectively with executive leadership team.
Balanced strategic and tactical thinker with strong presentation, problem-solving, analytical, and budget management skills, and understanding of ROI analysis.
Experience building, mentoring and coaching a team.
Excellent judgment and creative problem solving skills including negotiation and conflict resolution skills. Ability to influence and engage direct and indirect reports and peers.
