Audible’s Creative Director, Audible for Amazon, will lead creative for promotions, acquisition, and conversion on Amazon shopping services. With your help, we’ll develop programs and experiences that build and extend our brand. Your mission will be to attract and convert new customers, and engage our existing community of listeners in authentic and compelling ways. Reporting to the VP Creative & Marketing Communications, the Creative Director, Audible for Amazon, will be helping to lead the creative vision for the marketing and experience of Audible across Amazon surfaces. This leader will be focusing on three key areas: Amazon.com-specific promotions and campaigns, conversion-centric opportunities including membership pages and glance views, and Amazon book store and device-specific promotions. In addition, this role will focus on developing best practices, design, and copy patterns for Amazon. This candidate will also be responsible for building and maintaining creative partner relationships across the Amazon family.

Key responsibilities:
Lead a unified design, tone, and voice to create effective and provocative communications and experiences across the Amazon ecosystem.
Lead the development of clearly articulated, contextually appropriate, and unified communications

Collaborate with Creative team members to guide concept, brand, and copy direction

Build and maintain copy style guidelines and best practices

Collaborate with marketing teams to help hone and understand the messaging strategy, in conjunction with brand copy guidelines. Evolve and flesh out that style guide with robust testing and real world learnings

Ensure copy tone and style consistency across the ecosystem 

Contribute to brainstorming and creative brief development

Work with external agencies as needed to ensure consistency of voice and terminology

Recruit and lead a team of passionate copywriters and designers

Work in close collaboration with Marketing, UX, and Business Development to create and execute marketing campaigns

Communicate and present your team’s work appropriately to the company and community

Leverage data in a way that informs your design decisions

Be a strategic and technical advisor and consultant for the Brand Creative team.
Feedback and technical support as needed to drive success of content promotions within Amazon
Support product marketing efforts as needed, such as new app launches
Support member communications with ecosystem insights

Basic Qualifications

A clear understanding of design-centered processes, as well as proven methodologies for identifying and solving problems
The ability to utilize data-driven insights in developing creative strategy
Stunning portfolio packed with a wide range of visual styles
Dedicated and strong attention to detail
Clear, concise, and transparent communication style
Action-oriented, off-the-charts work ethic, coupled with flexibility
Passion for storytelling
Experience working on one or more highly trafficked websites/mobile websites/native applications
7-10 years of relevant leadership experience

Solid understanding of marketing and advertising principles

Strong experience on large cross-channel and/or direct marketing initiatives across mediums

Work on multiple projects simultaneously and juggle writing demands

Experience using data-driven insights

Strong understanding of direct response and conversion tactics

Possess strong communication skills with a collaborative attitude
