The Director of Marketplace Intelligence will be a key member of the Fox Networks Group (FNG) advertising sales team, collaborating with a fast-paced team focused on driving revenue growth through category insights. This role requires a deep knowledge of major advertising categories such as CPG, Retail, Food/Beverage, Pharma or Technology to help develop insights and data-driven marketing solutions for FNG’s largest advertisers.

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Identify and understand category/clients’ priorities, concerns, challenges, and business performance;
Lead development of both industry-specific and general market analyses to deliver insights regarding consumer, market and competitive trends, and other data-driven analyses;
Educate internal sales and marketing colleagues on the trends and insights that are impacting your assigned category as well as the consumer, and its implications for FNG;
Develop smart, integrated, research-based proposals and presentations to enhance FNG’s reputation with client(s) as a consultant and partner;
Provide visibility and leadership for the Marketplace Intelligence organization, taking accountability as Category Leader representing FNG’s interests, both internally and externally;
Partner with sales and client solutions to develop smart, strategic insights to inform our proposals;
Attend client briefings and sales calls to share insights and help pitch ideas and solutions.

The successful candidate will be a dynamic, forward-thinking professional with an exceptional track record creating value by facilitating data-driven decision making across an organization and with executive-level constituents. This individual must be capable of identifying emerging trends, with a demonstrated ability to serve as a strategist in an entrepreneurial, evolving business.
The ideal candidate will possess the following professional qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree with 5-7 years of media and management experience, including traditional and digital media. MBA or Advanced degrees strongly preferred. Brand-level experience in Strategy/Marketing Insights is a plus;
Experience working with various consumer insight quantitative and qualitative data sources;
Experience and passion for the media industry and major advertising categories and an active participant at major industry events;
Demonstrated track record of experience as a competitive intelligence advisor;
Knowledgeable and successful in making organizations more competitive in an evolving business environment;
Intellectually curious;
Adept at identifying risks and opportunities in advance of our competitors.
