The Director, Market Acceleration will be a leader and champion for Inclusion and Collaboration (I&C) /HR in strategically important business segments, Sales, Services and Engineering. The Market Acceleration leader is responsible for the overall strategic marketing direction and will own all activities related to conceptualizing and implementing market strategy and achieving marketing targets. This role will lead and manage not only the go-to-market strategy, but also the tactical execution to further penetrate key target segments working with sales teams and customers. This role will own collaboration and coordination with departments within Cisco including Sales, Business Development, Product Marketing, and Corporate Marketing, HR and I&C. This is a senior position that involves entrepreneurial leadership, analytical thinking, and creative instinct. Success in this role will require deep segment knowledge, an understanding of I&C / HR differentiation, and strong sales and marketing skills.

The role sets the strategic vision and direction to position I&C / HR as a market accelerant for Cisco Solutions and Services. This position will own and lead I&C Market Acceleration. This includes cradle-to-grave responsibilities ranging from defining the strategy, documenting Cisco-on-Cisco use cases for I&C/HR, mapping to Cisco Solution/Services, creating a business case and ROI analysis, developing all Sales tools/messaging/collateral, ensuring integration into sales systems, launch, go to market to EOL. Also, this individual will work closely with Sales team on Business Development efforts and Customer Acquisition. Responsible for core strategy and leadership including market research, innovation concepts, competitive landscape, SWAT analysis of products, services and solutions offerings and balancing competitive advantage aspects with customer advantage.

• Senior sales & marketing skills with an understanding of Cisco core marketing channels, processes, and key influencers
• Designing and executing on bold GTM strategies
• Translating thought leadership and transformational practices into revenue accelerating solutions in collaboration with account teams
• Engaging and influencing a full spectrum of experts and stake holders in the process of driving new value through thought leadership
• Providing consultative services to include identifying challenges/opportunities, conceptualizing, designing, implementing and tracking successful interventions/solutions, tracking and reporting key metrics
• Assessing the TAM and building the GTM Model
• Understanding the fit of Cisco products/solutions within I&C solutions
• Identifies and analyzes current user and market trends to understand potential directions for growth
• Evaluates company’s market position along with the competitive intelligence to improve market position with customers
• Prepares annual Market Acceleration plan
• Develops and executes long range and competitive strategy

Our Minimum Requirements for this role:

• 8 to 10 years marketing experience
• Minimum of 5 years in managing/leading a Marketing team.
• Financial Management – Proven ability to estimate, justify, and manage appropriate funding levels to support mission accomplishment. Must have proven ability to own, plan and manage financial processes, including P&L.
• Leadership – Proven ability to motivates, empowers, inspires, collaborates with, and encourages others to succeed. Develops a culture where employees feel ownership in what they do and continually improve the business. Creates a clear vision, accurately communicates the vision, and gets others to behave in a way to support the vision.
• Technical/Functional Expertise – Must be able to demonstrate strong technical/functional proficiencies and knowledge in marketing and sales.
• Teamwork – Knows when and how to attract, develop, reward, be part of, and utilize teams to optimize results. Acts to build trust, inspire enthusiasm, encourage others, and help resolve conflicts and develop consensus in supporting high-performance teams.
• Advanced Presentation Skills – Must be able to create and present Executive presentations internally and externally"
