Northrop Grumman Corporation is currently seeking a Director of Global Trade Management. This individual will be responsible for corporate oversight of all export, import, and international trade related functions for the Northrop Grumman Corporation. This position will reside in Falls Church, VA and report to the Vice President of Global Integration. The Director of Global Trade Management will partner with the Sector International Trade Organizations and the International Vice Presidents to provide regulatory and trade compliance advice, management, and logistic oversight for all sector and all corporate international business activities globally.

Responsibilities include,but are not limited to:
Development, management, and oversight activities related to a variety of global trade controls to include: export/import compliance and licensing; global trade security program participation; administrative management of anti-corruption due diligence process for international third party suppliers; and countries of concern review.
Integration of legal and regulatory requirements governing international trade compliance to operational business processes and procedures and implementation of effective assessment methods to assure ongoing process improvement.
Implementation of a global trade compliance infrastructure through deployment of common trade compliance standards, automation tools, and training/compliance assessments.
Strategic direction and management of NGC’s participation in government-sponsored trade compliance programs globally.
Partnering with sector and corporate leadership in the management of export/import transactions and the integration of operational and compliance activities into international business activities.
Serving as the company's primary empowered official and point of contact with the U.S. and non-U.S. government on all export and import licensing matters.
Leadership and management of staff to provide advice and guidance related to trade regulations company-wide.
Ensuring that the company attracts, retains and deploys globally trade compliance talent to mitigate compliance risk.
Exchange enterprise-wide Northrop Grumman trade management best practices.
In partnership with sector and corporate leadership, enhance Northrop Grumman visibility and credibility with various U.S. and foreign policy, technical and regulatory agencies and trade associations.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in appropriate discipline from an accredited educational institution with minimum 15 years of professional or military experience; an equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered.
Subject matter expert in the field of export/import compliance with a comprehensive working knowledge of International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Export Administration Regulations (EAR), Office of Foreign Assets Control Regulations (OFAC), U.S. Customs Regulations (CPB), Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) and non-U.S. laws and regulations governing international trade activities aligned with Northrop Grumman portfolio expansion.
Operational experience in import/ export compliance and other global trade regulatory issues.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to use them in informing, presenting, negotiating and problem solving with a wide range of people.
Must be a U.S. citizen.
Ability to obtain a Top Secret/SCI security clearance.
Dynamic self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to function independently.
A flexible approach to work, an understanding of working collaboratively on a team, and the willingness to be an active and supportive member of an international team.
An appreciation of different cultures and ability to operate efficiently in a diverse work environment.
Strong problem solving and analytical skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree or J.D. in an appropriate discipline from an accredited educational institution.
Experience in the aerospace industry.
Participation in U.S. Government federal trade advisory and industry working groups.
Knowledge of non-U.S. (i.e. U.K., Australian and Canadian) export/import regulations, anti-corruption practices and industrial participation/offset requirements.
Personal experience operating in international contexts outside of North America.
Active/transferable Top Secret/ SCI security clearance.
