Within BlackRock, the Institutional Client Business (ICB) Group is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with sophisticated institutional investors. BlackRock offers a broad range of solutions to our clients — rigorous fundamental and quantitative active management approaches aimed at maximizing outperformance, various liquid and illiquid alternative funds, industry-leading iShares® ETFs, and highly efficient indexing strategies designed to gain broad exposure to the world’s capital markets. Sales professionals within ICB ensure that our clients can access our investment solutions through a variety of product structures, including individual and institutional separate accounts, mutual funds and other pooled investment vehicles.

Within ICB, the Institutional Focus Group ( IFG ), is a newly forming institutional sales team that is being created to focus on a targeted set of large investors with a coverage universe that consist primarily of clients and prospects that are underrepresented with respect to their investment product and/or risk advisory solutions relationships with BlackRock.
Role:
Reporting to the Head of Institutional Focus Group, the Analyst responsibilities will include:
Participate as a key member of a dedicated client team
Support Senior Relationship Managers with all on-going sales, service and communication with clients and prospects.
Interface with portfolio managers, investment product specialists, compliance officers, consultant relations staff, operations and portfolio administration personnel, to organize client meetings and coordinate presentation material content.
Cultivate strong relationships with a roster of clients, becoming the "go-to" person for account specific information which can include security level (bonds, stocks, derivatives) information, portfolio investment performance, investment guideline compliance, clarifications and modification, cash inflows and redemptions.
Use BlackRock's proprietary systems to gather security, capital market and economic data to create a range of presentation materials including portfolio review books, Board presentations and marketing materials.
Gather critical data to quickly respond orally and in writing to client information requests.
Write and publish client meeting summary notes posted to firm wide client relationship management systems.
Assist with new client on-boarding- supporting clients through the process of "opening new accounts" with BlackRock.
Develop asset class fluency across BlackRock's product range - including fixed income, equity, hedge funds, real estate, private equity and fund of funds.
Qualifications:
Solid industry and investment knowledge. Proficiency across a wide range of traditional and alternative Investment products. Clear awareness of key issues affecting institutional investors. A working knowledge of our competitors.
BA/BS degree in related field (Economics, Finance or Accounting). MBA/CFA is strongly desired
Has, or is willing to obtain, the series 7, 63, and 3 licenses.
