The Director, Talent Acquisition will be an instrumental leader in building a centralized talent acquisition function and ensuring Peet’s attracts and hires passionate, authentic and talented Peetniks. Reporting to the Sr. Director, Talent Acquisition & HR Business Partnerships, the Director of Talent Acquisition is responsible for leading full-cycle recruiting efforts for all Peet’s business channels and cultivating a pipeline of quality talent to meet the company’s goals and objectives.

This role builds, maintains and communicates processes, policies and tools that drive quality assessment and enable productive and efficient hiring practices. The Director, Talent Acquisition plays a leadership role on the Peet’s People & Culture team and sets the tone in creating an employment brand and candidate experience that reflects Peet’s values and ensures a seamless assimilation into the organization. This is a full time, exempt position.

Responsibilities


Lead the talent acquisition function and design and implement scalable talent acquisition programs that increase Peet’s capability to attract, assess, select and on board superior talent.
Collaborate with senior leaders, human resources partners, and hiring managers to develop and implement strategic plans to meet immediate and long-term recruiting needs. Continually find opportunities to increase the impact of delivery and deepen relationships.
Lead and inspire a team of recruiters and ensure that the team is capable and well aligned with internal client groups.
Develop and refine superior talent acquisition standards and expectations for talent acquisition programs and initiatives.
Manage the talent acquisition budget.
Develop relationships at all levels of the business. Build an understanding of business needs and recommend effective and tailored recruiting strategies.
Leverage Peet’s values and brand to execute a compelling employer narrative.
Develop and deploy appropriate strategies and tools to capture staffing and quality metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of recruiting initiatives and solutions and make data-driven recommendations and decisions.
Identify and cultivate strong partnerships with appropriate external 3rd party partners. Drive outreach participation for the talent acquisition team including attending networking meetings, career fairs, university partnerships, etc.
Implement, own and leverage the company’s Applicant Tracking System (ICIMs) to streamline recruiting processes and enhance reporting.
Engage with a limited group of search/agency partners and negotiate effective partnership agreements.
Responsible for executive recruiting including closing senior-level candidates.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field, required
7 to 10 or more years of experience in talent acquisition. Experience leading an in house recruiting team required.
Demonstrated experience creating and streamlining scalable recruiting programs and using metrics to measure results
Proven ability to influence and gain senior executive support and engagement on talent acquisition strategies and plans
Ability to operate at a strategic level as well as a willingness to work tactically to accomplish work
Results-orientated and resourceful with the ability to quickly sort through information and develop concise and action plans
Proven leadership maturity, skills and presence
Ability to work at multiple levels, with a high sense of urgency coupled with the ability to remain flexible and creative within a dynamic environment
Strong oral and written communication skills
Able to effectively and quickly build relationships and establish trust, respect, competence and confidence at all levels
