The primary responsibility of this position is to lead aspects of the global market access and pricing strategy for Ibrance, Ibrance LCM and other breast assets; generate and synthesize global payer insights; lead regional / country cross functional and H&V training and negotiations to support launch, develop the global market access strategy, including the payer value proposition and pricing strategy across market archetypes; additional responsibilities for this position will include regional support for select oncology assets.

Responsibilities
Provide payer insights to understand/meet the needs of all types of payers in key Pfizer markets and develop Access Strategy
Represent the ‘Voice of the Payer’ at cross-functional team and governance bodies
Deliver clear recommendations relating to payer strategy, pricing and reimbursement, evidence generation, data collection and value proposition.
Achieving the above will variously require the formation of leadership and/or participation in virtual cross functional teams. When necessary, convene and coordinate taskforce deployments related to specific asset threats and opportunities.
Generate & synthesize payer Insights
Lead horizon scanning and in-depth understanding of payer regulations, needs of all types of payers (e.g. HTA agencies, institutions and patients) in key Pfizer markets
Create and maintain expertise in payer regulation and priorities across major countries / archetypes in the region:
Assessment and communication of external access trends to anticipate potential challenges and opportunities for pipeline & inline portfolio.
Gather and synthesize feedback for development programs with health technology assessment agencies, payers, and relevant patient associations within assigned region
Develop Payer Value Proposition and drive market access strategy
Support development and regional customization of the access strategy and delivery of the Payer Value Proposition
Guide the organization on the Payer Evidence strategy (by payer archetype) and its incorporation in the asset development program, including endpoint recommendations in trials
Refine deliverables by payer archetypes within assigned region
Pricing strategy & access strategy and decision support
Co-lead and/or lead the global access strategy for assigned assets, including portfolio, market archetype, and lifecycle considerations
Develop Global Pricing Policy (GPP) including by region/ archetype as needed to optimize the business opportunity for Pfizer, following appropriate approval governance
Guidance on managing product launch within proposed price corridor, launch sequence and negotiation playbook tools/techniques
Advance Functional Excellence in PI&A
Work with Oncology Team Lead to identify and appropriately allocate resources per critical business needs
Work efficiently and collaboratively in a highly matrixed environment
In addition you will be expected to:

Champion the payer agenda internally and improve understanding of payer needs
Develop effective processes and ways of working to support collaboration with key internal stakeholder groups such as medical and health outcomes

Identify new opportunities for value creation based on an understanding of Health Care systems and the potential benefits of Pfizer medicines
Develop innovative approaches to evidence generation which meet payer needs and integrate these with the needs of other customers
This role will have a significant impact on a number of key deliverables, such as:
Ability to manage earnings growth risk due to threats such as competitor pricing, payer policy changes, and the success of replacement earnings through new launches (securing price and reimbursement)
Ability to help patients do more, feel better and live longer amidst a challenging macroeconomic environment and barriers to access
The overall revenue which can be achieved from the R&D organization by optimizing the value that can be created from the medicines in the pipeline
Qualifications
Education
• Bachelor’s degree required. Advanced degree in a healthcare, business or economic field preferred (PH.D, MD or MBA)
Experience
• Minimum of 5 - 8 years experience in healthcare environment, preferably pharmaceutical industry or related consulting services, sufficient to have developed a deep understanding of the global payer and market access environment
• Knowledge and understanding of drug development process
• Pharmaceutical business leadership, including experience in strategy development and interaction with customers
• Familiarity with strategic and operating planning processes
• Knowledge and understanding of health economics and associated skills
• Experience of managing people in a cross-cultural environment
