The Director of Information Security, Financial Services is a technical leadership position, which requires assisting Client Executives in driving our professional services/consulting business within the Financial Services Vertical. The Managing Consultant, Financial Services applies practical experience with the Advisory Services capabilities of Optiv to address the specific needs of the client, obtains credibility for Optiv, and achieves a personal relationship with the client as is necessary to secure the opportunity and high-level manage to the success of profitable services engagement delivery. This role is responsible for managing a vertically focused team, setting direction, and developing vision for net new offerings.

Additionally, this position requires the person to be a thought leader and deliver presentations and messaging to financial services customers and internal organizations. This also includes remaining current with technology and is able to articulate nascent technology and formulate a strategy on how we can adopt and go to market.
The Advisory Services practice includes Program Strategy; Compliance, Risk, and Policy; Penetration Testing; Software Security; Vulnerability Assessments; Data Security & Privacy; Identity and Access Management; and Incident Management.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Financial Services Consultants will report to the Managing Consultant, Financial Services.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Drive services revenue and sales quota achievement through client-facing business development and targeted project scoping activities
Lead various client-facing workshop sessions focused on security strategy, risk management or compliance initiatives
Describe Advisory Services offerings in detail, understand pricing models, reference accounts, past engagements and demonstrate offering differentiators and value.
Liaison between the client, Technical Presales teams, Proposal Support Group, Project Management Organization and Advisory Services organization
Assist in training to help sales teams understand CISO persona, current issues/trends and how to better position and sell security solutions at security executive levels.
Identify pre-engagement requirements (goals, budgeting, timing, etc.), technical scoping and final pricing information to enable service proposal generation
Track individual Information Assurance calls/meetings, pre-sales activities, and wins/losses, and proposal outcomes.
Participate in the delivery of Strategy Assessments
Provide executive sponsorship for large services engagements
Assist with executive presentations
On-demand security executive advisory services
Collaborate with Practice thought leaders on the development of new services/offerings
Create and publish thought leadership content (magazine articles, blogs, presentations, etc.) in support of security executive interests, missions and other relevant topics
Host customer/prospect roundtable events in region
Speak at and attend security conferences in region
Work closely with the internal information security team on strategy
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience
Minimum of 7 years of experience:
Functioning as an information security or risk management executive or thought leader in a large enterprise environment - OR - Functioning as a high-performing consultant focused on security strategy delivery to the security executive suite
Passion about security and building relationships
Strong knowledge of security strategy and risk management
Strong knowledge of cyber threat landscape and hacker tactics
Experience conducting research on security topics
Excellent verbal and written communication and ability to conduct presentations to technical and non-technical groups
