RESPONSIBILITIES:
Create, shape, qualify, and close large government contracts
Shape SpaceX business development strategies
Provide strategic guidance to and manage proposals throughout development from draft RFP through submittal
Watch: Career Advice Serve as the foremost expert on SpaceX business and service offerings
Provide timely intelligence on customer needs, issues, personalities, and culture
Collect and share knowledge of emerging opportunities and potential competition
Link technology roadmaps and budgets to new business opportunities
Prepare and deliver presentations to key clients, the public, etc.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s Degree
Must have direct experience working federal government procurements or federal government budgeting.
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Master's Degree in Engineering, Physics, or Business
Experience working for or with USAF, NASA, or other agencies with space capabilities
Experience selling a new commercial product to a government agency
Top Secret/SCI clearance
Knowledge of launch vehicles, spacecraft and launch services
Direct experience closing high value, first-of-kind government deals
Passion for SpaceX’s mission and goals
Excellent working relationships with leadership in key organizations (NASA, USAF, or NRO)
Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems
Experience with FAR-based contracts and other types of agreements (OTA, SAA, CRADA)
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Must be willing to travel
