Smartsheet is looking for a talented and proven Director of Enterprise Sales -- West Region who will provide business leadership, sales strategy and team development for the western region strategic sales team. You will lead a team of high performing, consultative, top-tier account executives, and be actively engaged in growing our largest and most strategic accounts. A proven track record of sales leadership, scaling revenue, talent management, consultative solution selling and sales innovation is required. This high-profile role reports to our VP of Enterprise Sales and is located at our headquarters in Bellevue, WA.

Responsibilities:
Lead West region Enterprise Sales team to exceed quarterly and annual sales objectives
Serve as player/coach in the execution of land-and-expand, as well as solution-based sales processes
Ensure account executives are engaging and creating sales opportunities across multiple lines-of-business, as well as IT within Fortune 500 accounts
Play leadership role in developing expansion and new business opportunities in the West region by coaching account executives to build and execute account strategies
Facilitate Smartsheet senior executive engagement in target accounts
Partner with Solution Engineering, Consulting and Customer Success management to identify repeatable opportunities to close software and professional services solutions in target accounts
Proactively identify and address issues that reduce selling and buying friction and increase growth velocity in the West region
Effectively project and deliver sales results through accurate sales forecasting
Actively use company’s core applications to manage business, including Smartsheet, Salesforce.com, Tableau, LinkedIn and others

Requirements:
Demonstrated track record in leading Enterprise SaaS sales teams to exceed quotas by winning new business and driving substantial growth in Fortune 500 accounts
Proven ability to drive Enterprise sales teams in executing land-and-expand sales strategies to predictably deliver aggressive growth in Fortune 500 accounts
Minimum of 5 years experience in sales management of enterprise software, preferably Enterprise SaaS, teams
Proven track record in executing the disciplines of sales management, including Account/Opportunity/Relationship planning and sales methodology execution
10+ years of experience in the software industry with current SaaS experience preferably on the business applications side (selling to sales, marketing, HR, finance, manufacturing)
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to multitask, work cross-functionally within the organization, and thrive in a collaborative environment
Excellent communication (written and verbal), interpersonal and presentation skills
Motivate and lead; embody Smartsheet’s core values; operate with grit and a sense of urgency
Demonstrated ability to execute sales methodologies (e.g. The Challenger Sale)
Experience working in a fast-paced, high growth software company where change is a constant
Smartsheet, Salesforce.com, Google Apps, Tableau skills
Bachelors (BA/BS) degree required
