Groupon is hiring a leader in it’s EDW Data Engineering team. This is an opportunity to lead several data engineering teams within Groupon’s EDW organization. In this environment we are leveraging big data technologies like hive, spark and pig. The successful candidate will help us drive Groupon’s data warehouse to continue to migrate to big data technologies, to transition to the consumption of streaming data and to improve on our agile development approach.

Requirements
Direct leadership and management of global organizations over 20 people across multiple time zones and locations
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
A minimum of 10 years supervisory experience and proven success in managing global technical teams in a fast-paced, dynamic customer-facing software business. Knowledge of industry best practices for software development, IT life-cycles, mentoring and leadership of diverse IT professionals.
Proven experience building and leading global high-performance technical teams
Deep understanding of Agile and Continuous Delivery concepts and tools.
Strong knowledge of all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Proven experience in building ETL processes leveraging big data technologies
