Viacom International Media Networks is searching for an experienced and highly knowledgeable Director of Content Programming Strategy, with prior experience working with Kids & Family Brands and preferably within the Latin American market. This person will report directly to the VP of NICK Programming & Acquisitions and will work extremely close with both the VP and Brand Head of our Kids & Family NICK Brands to optimize the brands performance.
Watch: Career Advice The Director will be charged with working closely with our internal insights contacts for NICK’s multiple platforms to gather competitive data insights, market trends and internal existing research data, consumer insights and analytics, and will use the collected data to analyze, interpret and create a holistic approach on the brands overall ongoing performance and strategic programming recommendations. The Director will work collaboratively with the VP of Programming and the Brand Head to optimize the performance of our content by developing and executing short and medium term programming tactics and will use various data sources to analyze and monitor schedule performance. The Director will be responsible for strategically scheduling content on our Kids & Family Brands’ linear channels (NICKELODEON, NICK JR, NICKTOONS) and feeds across Latin America (SOUTH, NORTH, CENTRAL, and BRAZIL) and based on a thorough understanding of where our content lives and how it is consumed on other NICK platforms, make strategic recommendations on how the windowing of content should be scheduled across all platforms, in order to improve the brands overall performance and maximize revenue, while continuing to protect the brands integrity.
Basic Qualifications
Minimum 8+ years in TV programming, coupled with Programming Research experience at a Television Network with robust understanding of cable and industry trends. NOTE: MUST HAVE experience with Programming/Research and preferably with family and kids brands, to be considered.
5+ years of experience interpreting data from multiple linear and nonlinear platforms and conducting business analysis in support of management decision-making for TV, online and other digital platforms, preferably within the kids & family arena.
Understanding of IBOPE and Omniture software, ComScore, Application Annie and MS Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint).
Fluency in English and Spanish, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related Social Sciences field.

Analytical, with the ability to think strategically, see the bigger picture and the ability to independently develop conclusions and recommendations based on external data and internal existing research data from all of NICK’s platforms.
Ability to interpret research data obtained from NICK’s multiple platforms into actionable formats and work cross-functionally to ensure the content strategy recommendations are well understood, correctly interpreted, and optimally applied.
Experience in utilizing cross-platform research data and external competitive insights and trends to create strategic and innovative holistic content programming recommendations across all platforms.
You should have demonstrable and established experience in a cable TV environment and should have thorough understanding of multi-channel television, competitive scheduling and local compliance regulations.
Excellent presentation skills at all levels of the organization and especially to non-programmers/researchers.
Is a phenomenal communicator, written and verbal - can write concise, thoughtful summaries on short timelines, for executive audiences.
Has mastered working with multiple stakeholders and peers in high stress environments, with varying personality types, and still be able to adapt communication and management style to achieve overall collaboration.
The ability to be diplomatic with a high level of cultural sensitivity.
Highly motivated and proactive self-starter, superbly organized, strategic thinker who immediately recognizes tasks and executes without prompting.
Ability to manage resources to achieve project goals within time and budget constraints.
Excellent management skills, including the ability to clearly and consistently provide direction, feedback and development to the team.
Experience within the Latin American market and especially with prior specific focus on kids & family brands.
