This Senior Level Compensation position will report to the Head of Global Compensation and will play a pivotal role within a high-performing team. The Director will be responsible for providing a full range of comprehensive compensation consulting services and developing and/or implementing and administering compensation programs. They will lead a team of compensation consultants in providing guidance and tools to HR/Management to help support multiple lines of businesses within the US commercial portfolio. The Director will implement/administer the annual compensation review process for clients and influences clients to achieve compensation objectives. This position serves as market expert regarding specific client market compensation issues.

Responsibilities

Provides a full range of comprehensive compensation consulting services and developing, implementing and/or administering compensation programs to a large, complex business segment.
Manages the administration of compensation programs, ensuring the total rewards of base pay and incentive pay are aligned with business objectives and overall organizational goals and strategies.
Implements/administers the annual compensation review process for clients and influences clients to achieve compensation objectives.
Assure internal equity and external competitiveness of the organization’s compensation programs through strategic monitoring of business conditions, legal requirements and understanding of industry best practices.
Counsels management on the Company's compensation strategy, policies, programs, and communications.
Provides subject matter expertise and serve as market expert regarding specific client market compensation issues.
Identifies HR and business client compensation needs and issues: enhances and/or designs programs to address them.
Communicates, trains, and provides guidance and tools to HR to support business managers.
Conducts job evaluations; analyze job responsibilities, activities, duties, requirements and organizational structure and recommend internal job placement in the appropriate level, title and FLSA classification.
Reviews offers; develops compensation packages for internal and external hires.
Contributes to the year-end compensation planning process
Supports HR Business Partners and Recruiters with compensation related issues and questions.
Conducts compensation analysis utilizing existing tools; (ie. salary surveys, compensation databases, job evaluations, pay reviews)
Assists Manager as needed in day-to-day activities and/or special compensation or research projects.
Leads a team of compensation consultant to provide guidance and tools to HR to help support business managers.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in relevant field of study required. Master's Degree preferred.
Minimum of 10+ years of Compensation experience required.
4+ years of Managerial experience preferred.
Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation a plus.
Excellent analytical, quantitative, project management, communication, problem solving and consultation skills required.
Demonstrated ability to form excellent working relationships with internal and external clients and partners.
Demonstrated strong leadership, business acumen and savvy, and multi-tasking abilities in prior roles through career progression and key challenges.
Must be a self-starter and highly organized/ Ability to work independently and exercise sound business judgment
Detail-oriented with commitment to quality
Strong leadership presence with exceptional presentation and relationship-building skills
Experience with Compensation administration systems and PeopleSoft application programs a plus.
