UPHE Content Group is an independent mini-studio within the infrastructure of Universal Pictures Home Entertainment and distribution footprint of NBCUniversal. With offices around the world and central headquarters in London, the UPHE Content Group discovers, acquires and produces a diverse range of quality content across a multitude of genres (film, stand-up comedy, TV drama/sitcoms, music, sports, documentary, family entertainment, events & special interest) for global distribution. It’s multiplatform sales & distribution footprint includes theatrical, physical, digital (SVOD & Transactional), TV (Free & Pay) as well as consumer products. The business uniquely focuses on managing talents, partnerships, brands and titles across all rights and across their full lifecycle. The aim of this role is to lead new production and acquisitions opportunities across several key genres (mostly feature films, comedy, television and documentary), across US & Canada as well as define the distribution strategy and manage the rollout of these opportunities across all rights. Job Duties
Planning / Project generation
Proactively source and acquire programming for multiple platforms as well as identify new content & distribution opportunities.
Attend markets, industry events, and screenings as appropriate
Create and deliver the annual A&R strategy for finished programmes across US & Canada
Run P&Ls, issue and negotiate offer letters for deals as well as build the internal business case.
Maintain our current artist and client roster for the US & Canada Acquisitions & Production team

Financial Planning / Analysis
Deliver against specific revenue targets for successful new programming.
Provide financial analysis/ reports as required.

Rollout
Define strategy for all projects brought to the business and manage the rollout
Co-ordinate global distribution of content across UK and International markets.
Source programming by attending markets, industry events, and screenings as appropriate.

Production / Process Management
Work with key stakeholders, both externally (e.g. Producers, Distributors, etc) and across the Group (marketing, operations, content strategy, central HQ team etc) to produce and distribute new content to agreed release schedules and deadlines
Gather feedback and proactively resolve issues on activities and titles.
Manage internal processes, such as drafting offer letters and board approval packs.
Qualifications/Requirements Required Qualifications:
Proven experience of buying and/or selling content on a variety of media platforms, both in the UK and internationally.
The ability to build strong and lasting relationships to support and work with licensors, producers, and distributors.
Demonstrable knowledge and experience of multi-platform distribution of content.
A genuine passion to work with and source new content.
Able to work under pressure in a fast moving and demanding environment.
An entrepreneurial approach to deal-making with an astute commercial focus.
A keen instinct for potentially successful content and the foresight to acquire this content ahead of competitors.
Solid experience (7+ years) with entertainment media, content acquisitions and brand management.
