Creative Director Loove Labs Brooklyn

This position will play a key role in the execution of Loove’s visual design, production of collateral and brand aesthetic. You will have a lot of responsibilities and will be relied on to confidently execute with timeliness and consistency and do your part to support a lean but talented team in addition to working in an open and collaborative way with other company functions including content, operations, editorial, etc.

This role will also advocate and drive convincing designs for the development of audience experience and marketing strategies; drive the collaborative efforts of the project’s creative, production and web teams and inspire sonic artisans in all areas of expertise to exceed expectations. This position will also responsible for managing client relationships for all things related to creative.

Responsibilities

Produce superb quality design for our product packaging, graphics and collateral for both our web application and label. These should be in line with our with business goals, design priorities, deadlines and processes.
Responsible for conceiving, articulating and defending conceptual and directional choices
Create visually beautiful and satisfying graphics
Deliver strong, convincing designs and partner effectively with engineers
Work with head of Mission and Editorial to ensure a consistency in the look and feel across all stages of design across the company
Accountable for developing and directing creative work of the highest caliber
Participate in possible business development efforts, including giving presentations and leading creative initiatives
Contribute and build design concepts for new product features
Revise designs based on data, analytics and business goals and refine design processes as needed

Qualifications

Demonstrated ability to translate strategic vision and marketing objectives into tangible project deliverables
Proven ability to deliver and advocate for strong designs
Demonstrated understanding of branding, marketing and business strategies.
5+ years experience in a graphics and creative leadership role
Proven ability to balance multiple projects with differing and aggressive timelines, deliverables, and expectations
A strong working knowledge of interaction design, venue experience, brand development, and the entire creative development process for music, from conception through post-production
Proven analytical ability to break down complex data sets in an interesting and compelling way
Understanding of messaging through music, sound and other symbolic data
Strong online portfolio that exhibits expertise in visual design
Show strong understanding of design tools such as Sketch, OmniGraffle, Photoshop, Creative Suite/InDesign and Illustrator
Detail-orientation and the ability to prioritize design tasks
Comfort and ability to thrive within an iterative design process, balancing expediency with quality of design
Understanding of both linear and non-linear storytelling
Lead brainstorm and collaborative idea sessions
Keen ability to consider and incorporate feedback
