The Equinix Global Interconnection Product team is looking for a proven, results-oriented and innovative Product Line Leader to help Equinix navigate the market transition from physical networking hardware to Network Function Virtualization (NFV). The right candidate for our team is a hands-on product leader that has shown success with enterprise product strategy, definition and development throughout the product lifecycle and customer adoption journey. This Product Line Leader will be part of the Interconnection Product team and will be responsible for assessing and communicating market opportunities and risks as well as working with cross functional teams to deliver productized solutions. The right candidate should be knowledgeable of enterprise networking hardware, virtualization and Business-to-Business services.

Responsibilities
Strategy Definition-
Market Landscape and Strategy Definition: Continually assess how the confluence of emerging technology, business and competitive trends in the NFV market will impact Equinix and provide options for capturing opportunities and minimizing risks. Includes assessing options across buy, build and partner scenarios.
Stakeholder Alignment: Align internal and external stakeholders and resources to the defined NFV strategy. Includes creating business case justifications for cross functional investment both within Equinix and with customers and partners.
Execution-
Voice of the Customer: Gather, document, design and test the best possible customer experience incorporating the voice of the customer into the NFV product opportunity and roadmap.
Product Development: Own and manage product requirements, backlog prioritization and release packaging working closely with design and engineering teams on detailed project plans and reviews, engaging regional and cross-functional teams early and throughout the product life-cycle
Product Support:
Go-to-Market: Work with Product Marketing to build and deliver product training and documentation
Commercial/Technical Support: Set overall commercial structure and pricing for new NFV products if applicable and provide final point of escalation for commercial and technical escalations
Operational Monitoring: Ensure customers are getting a positive end to end customer experience
Manage overall product line Profit and Loss:
Establish and refine product pricing and guidelines.
Maintain management dashboard views of key performance indicators status and actions including product forecasts and profitability monitors.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or information systems or equivalent required, MBA a strong plus
10+ years of product management experience in enterprise networking, virtualization and/or cloud services
Knowledge of Enterprise datacenter networking and WAN technologies, including Ethernet, IP and NFV
Extensive knowledge and experience creating a network effect business
Proven record driving products from idea to market launch and post-launch customer acquisition, adoption, activity and satisfaction
Experience creating and communicating compelling business cases for new products and features including Senior Executive stakeholder alignment
A proven global cross-functional team leader
The ability to build productive relationships internally and externally, interfacing at all corporate functions and levels
The ability to influentially communicate directly with customers (verbal, written, presentation and negotiation) and industry analysts
Self-driven entrepreneurial attitude who has the ability to navigate and galvanize support within a large organization
