Senior Director Technology Westfield San Francisco

As a Senior Director of Technology, you will be an essential member of Westfield’s IT Team reporting to the Global Chief Information Officer. The individual will have primary responsibility in assisting the Global CIO with identifying and vetting technology solutions for implementation throughout all of Westfield’s shopping centers and regional offices.

Additionally, the Senior Director assists the Global CIO with relevant administration of the Westfield IT Department. This includes establishing standards, defining technology roadmaps, providing leadership and oversight of single and multi-year programs, managing aspects of Department budgets, financial planning and management, manages aspects of resourcing, project and program governance, technology planning, risk mitigation, and senior business engagement and alignment.

The Senior Director of Technology, on behalf of the Global CIO, will be a key interface between IT and the Operating Business within all of Westfield. They will be responsible for ensuring a strong working relationship, efficient and clear roles and responsibilities and management of risks and issues. This individual will need to operate at a very senior level within the organization and will be responsible for assisting Westfield to achieve its vision of creating state of the art technology solutions for its customers. The individual will need to be comfortable working within a challenging, fast paced and changing environment while still ensuring high quality customer service.

Responsibilities
Member of the Global IT Leadership Team.
Assess, envision, scope and establish strategies in support of upcoming business priorities to ensure sufficient business buy in for the initiative, sufficient funding and sufficient resourcing.
Manage Corporate Technology projects to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, safely and to the business and IT requirements.
Provide strategic technical guidance to senior management, project team members and functional organizations.
Assist with technology strategic planning and annual budgets.
Manage and supervise staff and provide personnel management through the hiring, review and professional development of resources.
Engage and manage external contractors, consultants and partners when and where necessary.
Engage with senior business leadership (including C Level) to set strategy, prioritize work and manage execution of the annual technology plan to meet deadlines.
Negotiate new contracts and ensure adherence to contractual agreements.
Assist with aspects of center technology solution design and implementation including, but not limited to, network design, physical cabling, CCTV/video solutions, consumer facing wireless networking architectures, BMS, Digital Metering and Tenant Metering systems.
Integration of technology roadmap with center construction and redevelopment efforts.
Review and align with pre-construction, construction and post construction planning phases.
Alignment of technology solutions with business vision and future state capabilities

Required Capabilities
Bachelor degree in Business, Information Technology, related field or equivalent
Ten plus (10+) years of increasing responsibility in leading technology infrastructure / operations, network architecture and large scale consumer facing technology solution implementations.
Significant experience managing and leading large technology programs, internal and external teams and strategic technology portfolios.
Ability to deliver complex technology solutions using structured implementation methodologies including communications with business and understanding business and process change management.
Extensive experience managing multiple internal and external vendors and suppliers.
Excellent organization, problem solving and decision making skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Excellent oral and written communications skills including the ability to deliver technical and functional information to a wide array of audiences.
Ability to work with global teams in multiple time zones effectively.
Outstanding interpersonal skills, demonstrated ability to engage with business leaders, c-level executive, external clients, vendors and peers.
Ability to work with a global team in defining and implementing global technology standards.
