The Investment Director will help to build and manage the pipeline as well as provide analytical horsepower to support industry analysis, new business development, and investments. This role will focus on datacenter technologies involving SSD NVMe and software defined storage solutions. Job responsibilities include:

Build business cases and write business plans for new technology/product initiatives
Select and evaluate investment opportunities; engage discussions and negotiations with companies;
Evaluate companies and their development potential, including Technology/product, intellectual property, addressable market, competition, organization, strategy, financial plans
Perform due diligence and help to articulate thesis to support investment decisions
Build relationships with entrepreneurs and monitor startups in key industry sectors
Help to prepare communications and recommendations to senior corporate management
Support with portfolio management and reporting
Required Qualifications:
Strong academic record from a leading university, with a PHD (Engineering) is required; BS Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or other technical discipline
MBA is preferred
Min 10 years of industry experience in the high tech industry, whereby a startup experience is highly valued, complimented with at least 5-7 years’ experience in Venture Capital/Private Equity or similar roles focused on technology sectors (semiconductor, hardware and/or software platforms)
Experience in analyzing industry and market segments, building market models, and analyzing/writing business plans for new technologies/products
Ability to articulate and advocate business value propositions for new markets and products
