The world-class Communications Team at Chase is seeking a strong leader and communications strategist with significant experience in supporting senior executives. This individual will support the CEO of Chase Mortgage Banking, the largest U.S. bank, in driving their communications agenda to its roughly 25,000 employees at locations nationwide.
The position will report to the Chief Marketing and Communications Officer of Mortgage Banking. The Director will lead a team of highly talented and experienced individuals who support both internal communications and public relations for the Mortgage Bank. This individual will help to shape and convey company positions, business objectives and responses to emerging market issues impacting the company for public distribution and media consumption.

JOB SUMMARY:

• Proactively tell the firm’s story, and support the creation of communications tools to support senior leadership as they share the firm’s story with opinion leaders and customers.
• Support public relations campaigns for Chase Mortgage Banking
• Establish and maintain relationships with key media outlets.
• Serve as strategic counsel to senior Chase executives in support of overall communications strategy and employee engagement
• Drive business outcomes by building and executing strategic and tactical plans in support of business priorities and cultural values
• Translate complex business messages and capture them in the executive’s unique voice
• Tell the Mortgage Banking story through both traditional means, as well as digital and multimedia storytelling techniques, such as dynamic presentations, video, and digital content
• Prepare comprehensive communication plans, research and distill data and financial information, write and design presentations in PowerPoint and other presentation tools, and prepare talking points, scripts and other communication tools for senior managers
• Plan and execute communications activities, including town halls, market visits, employee events, and recognition activities
• Develop, maintain and foster relationships at all levels internally including senior level Chase executives, peers, and the broader team
• Uphold a strong commitment to doing the right thing for our customers and employees
• Maintain a passion for protecting and enhancing the reputation of our firm

Qualifications & Skills

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum of 12 years of experience in some combination of Corporate Communications, Public Relations, and Internal Communications either at JPMorgan Chase or in another Fortune 500 company, or in an agency supporting Fortune 500 companies.
Experience must include day-to-day relationships with Senior Executives in a consultative/advisory role.
Required skills:
• Superb written and verbal communications skills
• Versatility in executing various writing styles and voices, including journalistic and executive writing
• Strong interpersonal, networking and presentation skills
• Experience in public relations, media relations, or as a journalist
• Creative mindset and ability to generate new ideas
• Speed, flexibility and adaptability and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Outstanding judgment, problem-solving ability and resourcefulness
• Ethics of the highest caliber
• A solid command of Power Point. Knowledge of Mac products such as Keynote, iMovie and Photoshop preferred
• Strong command of and experience with consumer financial services preferred
• Degree in Journalism or Communications preferred
