This group is building an Assurance Product for the SDN and ACI area. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in leading engineering / engineering operations for networking/big data/analytics products. The candidate should be highly technical, and be able to deliver an enterprise class appliance / product. We are looking for a candidate with strong engineering / technical leadership, planning and operations capabilities. The candidate will not have any other management hierarchy below her / him, so we expect the candidate to function both as a first line manager / senior engg. leader (aka. “startup” like environment).

Candidate will work with a team of over 35 engineers to develop these techniques for the SDN / ACI space.
Responsibilities
• Head the engineering and engineering operations for Candid
• Be responsible for the Candid product delivery, and milestones
• Manage engineers and engineering personnel
• Architect, design, test and deliver software to satisfy product requirements
• Work with engineering teams, lead JIRAs, standups, scrum meetings
• Work with various cross-functional groups such as distributed systems, platform and infrastructure engineering and product management.
• Participate in technical discussions and provide innovation to the product as well as provide documentation.
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science with 18+ years of experience OR
• Masters / PhD with 13+ years of software experience
• Delivered one or more engineering products / managed product delivery
• Current/past proficiency in one or more standard programming languages — Java/C++/Python/C
• Exposure / understanding in one or more big data technologies – Hadoop, Orchestrators, Apache framework et. al.
• Understanding of networking technologies is a big plus – protocols, routing, security etc.
• Comfortable working in an Agile Development environment
• Knowledge of networking is a huge bonus
• Ability to solve complex problems creatively
• Demonstrate a high degree of originality and innovation in designing product and component level architecture.
• Excellent verbal and writing skills
• Must be a team player and work well in small and large group environments
