To lead on the selling and licensing of BBCW TV Formats to pan-regional, regional local television broadcasters, Pay TV and Digital Broadcasters

Accountabilities

Develop and deploy format sales business development strategy in Latin American region.
Lead contact for the Production Head in BBCW Content Group.
Organizes and pitch new formats to TV broadcasters.
Monitor commercial activity to ensure any sold formats are re-commissioned
Produce the best and most profitable deal with local broadcasters on formats, ensuring BBCW maximises format licence revenue, as well as share of production fees and any share of ancillary revenue as appropriate.
Liaise with Global Production teams on new formats and prepare materials to sell in new shows.
Support other sales teams as appropriate in bundling and leveraging catalogue and package deals around format deals.
Monitor and support local broadcasters or their designated producers with local production assistance including providing production bibles, consulting “flying” producers and brand guidelines.
Protect BBC IP assuring all productions adhere to BBC brand and editorial guidelines.

Relationships

Regular (at least weekly) face-to-face / phone / email contact with VP Sales, regional management and country managers (when established) to provide / receive / exchange information / instructions

Occasional (at least quarterly) face-to-face / phone / email contact with Regional EVP, EVP international Productions, Head of Talent

Professional Experience

Latin America Entertainment sector experience is desirable

Substantial BTB experience is vital

Significant experience in a Format Sales and Production Management

Experience in multi-national operations and project management.
