This role will take responsibility for all aspects of our paid search and SEO efforts including overall strategy, financial delivery and operations as well as integration with the broader marketing and product efforts across the business. This position will have regular and frequent interaction with senior leadership across Hotwire, and must maintain alignment and partnership with broader business priorities. This role will have full financial responsibility for Search Marketing channels and is accountable for delivering a substantial share of our global trading. Key Responsibilities & Experiences:
Drive overall success of the Online Marketing group by delivering against SEM & SEO channel goals and contributing at a senior level to overall direction.
Create and deliver an SEM and SEO strategy for Hotwire that can be leveraged across multiple points of sale and device platforms, including analysis, measuring and reporting on initiatives
Deliver a data-driven, quantitative approach to search marketing, coaching and developing the team to build and improve results.
Define channel performance targets and evaluate the team and channels against those targets.
Build and manage teams to deliver against these strategies.
Build and manage monthly forecast and accruals to ensure revenue and expense targets are met in accordance with channel targets.
Communicate strategy, progress and results to executive leadership across Expedia Inc.
Develop methods to improve efficiency and business results within these channels and lead the team to investigate and implement new technologies, services, automation capabilities, and/or vendor solutions that increase productivity.
Create a team environment that encourages agility, including frequent testing, identifying and learning from new approaches.
Act as primary business contact for strategic search marketing and optimization partnerships; building strong business relationships and productively collaborating with partners.
Negotiate and manage vendor relationships necessary to grow the channels.
Partner with senior stakeholders across product, supply, analytics and other marketing channels to deliver customer experience enhancements that benefit the paid search and SEO channels.
Collaboration with Product and Engineering teams to ensure channel requirements are built into the product.
Professional Experience / Qualifications:
Minimum 7 years online marketing experience, preferably in ecommerce.
Demonstrated experience leading medium sized, global in-house SEM teams.
Track record of delivering high quality results, whilst thriving in a quickly paced environment
An ability to support thought leadership within the group and influence the strategy of key executive leadership.
Travel experience a plus.
Proven track record building high performing teams.
Proven track record building channel strategies from scratch.
Detail-oriented, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Exceptional negotiation and influence skills.
Strong communication skills, direct and transparent approach to communication.
Ability to work effectively in a lean, entrepreneurial & global environment.

Education:
Bachelors required.
MBA preferred.
