Director Sales Nokia Murray Hill

The team has a Director of Sales position for a person covering IP Cloud for one of our Customers. This is a direct customer facing sales leadership role reporting directly to the VP of Sales. The position is responsible for leveraging an existing business (Lightspeed) that is in need of a technology upgrade to 100GE while being leveraged as the Customer consolidates networks while migrating the infrastructure to enable virtual solutions with SDN enablement. The position requires strong business acumen in addition to a technical understanding of the Customer's Cloud and IP backbone network. The success of this person and his/her team is critical to the overall success and growth of the IP Optical (ION) business within the Customer. The candidate should ideally be based in Dallas or near northern NJ while having experience in direct customer facing role with the Customer IP platform Architecture, LABS, and Network Planning teams.

Key Responsibilities / Functions:
Develop business plan to growth revenue within the Customer's Cloud/ and IP/MPLS network while hiring the necessary resources to achieve success
Motivate and Inspire team members to focus on delivering the best overall customer experience
Work with direct reports as well as indirect resources to position Nokia as the market leader in IP routing solutions with a focus on specific Customer network architectures related to both Enterprise and Consumer IP Services
Ability to put in place team sales strategies to influence buying decisions which leverage an installed base, align existing and future technology innovations to meet future service requirements, and deliver the best TCO and Overall Business Value to the Customer
Qualifications
Required Qualifications: (Education, Technical Skills/Knowledge)
Position requires both Industry knowledge and track record of selling IP Routing products to Service Providers with an emphasis on direct involvement with the Customer
Strong business acumen in planning and organizing, information integration, decision-making and ability to achieve results while focusing on customer requirements and business success.
10 to 15 years experience with a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
Ability to lead a team of direct and indirect resources who are highly motivated in a very competitive environment in order to achieve success in securing new contract wins
Responsible for developing and implementing business plans based on detailed sales strategies and alignment to overall company and team goals.
