We are seeking a proven Product Marketing leader to join our Sales Tools & BI team to help lead long-term business strategy and enable the development of workflows, tools, and reporting that enable our Sales, Service & Marketing teams around the world to create meaningful & valuable connections with our customers.

The Product Marketing Team Leader will be responsible for:
• Collaborating across groups at Microsoft (R&D, Central Marketing, Business Planning, R&D, Field, etc.) at senior levels to build alignment and execute complex projects
• Understanding competitive trends and emerging customer needs, then quickly applying these insights to inform decisions and drive product planning strategy through to execution and closing the loop with success measurement.
• Communicating tool & data features roadmap effectively across all levels of the organization, influencing & persuading others to align towards common goals while anticipating how changes will impact field teams
• Acting as a technical thought leader and advocate for product marketing team & end users throughout the feature development cycle
• Leading & motivating a team of high output Product Marketers
Required Capabilities:
• Ability to influence senior leadership & key sales partners towards a shared goal, where multiple inputs and perspectives on solutions are common
• Strong collaboration & coaching skills to lead a team of accountability driven product marketers all focused on varying technology challenges and user scenarios
• Proven expertise in a trusted leadership role within online product planning & development, with a metrics & customer satisfaction driven approach for driving to solutions
• A passion and curiosity for understanding how market trends can tie to internal execution strategies to inform long term product roadmap
• Strong strategic thinking complemented with a bias for action; with ability to deal with ambiguity and lead teams to create solutions to ambiguous or unstructured problems
• Able to break down complex issues into concepts that translate across multiple stakeholder groups (e.g., customers, partners, leadership, geos)
Qualifications:
• Driven, self-starter with 10+ years in high-tech, b2b/CRM marketing, strategy consulting or startup experience with demonstrable track record in driving product strategy and successful go-to-market activities
• Deep subject matter expertise in Sales, Marketing workflows, tools, and technologies landscape.
• Ability to develop differentiated product and service strategies and corresponding execution plans
• 5+ years of experience managing a team across multiple projects and with a focus on producing measurable results.
• BS/BA in Business or Marketing or related field required, MBA or advanced degree is preferred
