The primary responsibility of this position is to understand payer perspectives and lead the development and execution of market access strategy for crisaborole within the Inflammation and Immunology (I&I) Category, including the Payer Value Proposition, Pricing Strategy and Reimbursement support across different market archetypes. The incumbent will be responsible for setting strategy with I&I Cross-Functional Leadership Team (CFLT) and oversee execution of PI&A deliverables in support of crisaborole. Specifically, the incumbent will develop pricing and access strategies to support the launches of crisaborole in atopic dermatitis in the US, EU, and ROW. In this process, he/she will need to work collaboratively with BU, GH&V, Medical, Commercial, and R&D Leaders to drive PI&A component of GH&V strategies.

Responsibilities
• Promote One GH&V in team-work collaboration, direction and problem-solving and in interface with BU Category Triad and asset teams
• In collaboration with the I&I CFLT, will set market access strategy and manage tactical priorities for crisaborole that align to BU Category Therapeutic Area strategy
• Propose and Manage crisaborole budged (up to $ 1 Mio)
• Escalate critical issues to the BU Lead / BU Triad (eg, Scoping & Prioritization process; facilitate buy-up recommendations and resolutions) related to crisaborole
• Bring creative solutions to the team while employing leading-edge methodologies and by identifying and scaling innovative ideas.
• Provide payer insights to understand/meet the needs of all types of payers in key Pfizer markets and develop Access Strategy
• Represent the ‘Voice of the Payer’ at cross-functional team and governance bodies
• Deliver clear recommendations relating to payer strategy, pricing and reimbursement, evidence generation, data collection and value proposition.
• Achieving the above will variously require the formation of leadership and/or participation in virtual cross functional teams. When necessary, convene and coordinate taskforce deployments related to specific asset threats and opportunities.
Generate & synthesize payer Insights for Crisaborole
• Lead horizon scanning and in-depth understanding of payer regulations needs and priorities across major countries / archetypes in key Pfizer markets
• Create and maintain expertise in payer regulation and priorities across major countries / archetypes:
Explore innovative market access launch strategies
• Support filling decisions in EU and ROW based on optimal pricing/reimbursement
• Evaluate analogues who have launched with innovative market access strategies
Pricing strategy & access strategy and decision support
• Develop Global Pricing Policy (GPP) including by region/ archetype as needed to optimize the business opportunity for Pfizer, following appropriate approval governance
• Guidance on managing product launch within proposed price corridor, launch sequence and negotiation playbook tools/techniques
Advance Functional Excellence in PI&A
• Work efficiently and collaboratively in a highly matrixed environment

• Represent the assigned asset externally with senior customers and thought leaders consistent with the principles of scientific engagement

This role will have a significant impact on a number of key deliverables, such as:
• Ability to manage earnings growth risk due to threats such as competitor pricing, payer policy changes, and the success of replacement earnings through new launches (securing price and reimbursement)
• Ability to help patients do more, feel better and live longer amidst a challenging macroeconomic environment and barriers to access
• The overall revenue which can be achieved from the R&D organization by optimizing the value that can be created from the medicines in the pipeline
Qualifications
Education
• Bachelor’s degree required. Bachelor’s degree required. Advanced degree in a healthcare, business or economic field preferred (PH.D or MBA)
Experience
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in healthcare environment, preferably pharmaceutical industry or related consulting services, sufficient to have developed a deep understanding of the global payer and market access environment
• Above-market/regional or global experience preferred
• Knowledge and understanding of drug development process
• Pharmaceutical business leadership, including experience in strategy development and interaction with customers
• Familiarity with strategic and operating planning processes
• Knowledge and understanding of health economics and associated skills
• Track record of leadership in a matrix and people management
• Track record of delivering results
