Director NTS Tax Knowledge Management PwC Washington

TKM is part of PwC's Washington National Tax Services (WNTS) and is responsible for capturing, developing, and communicating essential information to the Tax practice. TKM consists of a diverse group of tax professionals with technical expertise in federal tax, state and local tax, international tax, customs, transfer pricing, human resource services, and other specialty areas within the Tax practice.

One of TKM's primary functions is to gather, analyze, develop, and share technically sound insights, ideas, service offerings, and practice aids (e.g., whitepapers, slide decks, etc.) with our tax practitioners to better serve our clients. TKM professionals keep in touch with the current conditions and breaking developments in the marketplace through regular contact with PwC professionals in our practice offices, NTS subject matter specialists, and national Q&RM.

TKM Professionals work with and administer most, if not all, of TKM's technology tools and platforms, which support the national Tax practices.

This will include administering the Firm's 1) external publishing platform for newsletters; 2) tax technical Knowledge systems; 3) ideas and service offering database/platform; 4) knowledge repository and related web tools; 5) internal tax news platform; and 6) other technology tools.

The administration would include updated and inputting content in the various systems, importing/exporting and manipulating large volumes of data to generate the needed reports/metrics, processing and publishing through defined workflows Knowledge for internal and external use as well as re-designing micro-sites and other similar tools.

Position/Program Requirements
Minimum Years of Experience: 8

Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor's degree in Accounting

Certification(s) Required: CPA, Enrolled Agent or Member of the Bar

Degree(s) Preferred: Juris Doctorate or Master's degree in Accounting or Taxation

Knowledge Preferred:
Extensive knowledge in the development of tax knowledge management (TKM) content, development of tax service offerings from idea to implementation, the formulation and application of sales and distribution strategies, the creation and implementation of practice-wide presentations through Learning & Education programs and designing enhancements to TKM tools.

Skills Preferred:
Extensive technical skills, including managing the process of conducting technical research and writing for tax technical service offerings (including whitepapers and other practice aids), creating presenting and distributing TKM communications, experience using technical tools including CCH, Tax Analysts, RIA Checkpoint, BNA, and Westlaw and a clear technical understanding of changes in tax laws.
Thorough knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Adobe Acrobat.
Thorough experience identifying and addressing client needs: developing and sustaining deep client relationships using networking, negotiation and persuasion skills to identify and sell potential new service opportunities; preparing and presenting complex written and verbal materials; and defining resource requirements, project workflow, budgets, billing and collection.
Thorough experience as a team leader: leading teams to generate a vision, establish direction and motivate members, create an atmosphere of trust, leverage diverse views, coach staff, and encourage improvement and innovation.
This professional will directly support the National Tax Services M&A Practice in Washington, DC.
Prior experience focused on M&A Tax is preferred.
