In this position, you will be working with an agile team of software engineers to create feature rich, efficient, and scalable applications that allow our partners to interact with Expedia.

Responsibilities:
Lead the engineers to come up with optimal software design for business requirements and deliver quality code with low rates of production defects.
Design and code software to build new functionality and improve existing products.
Drive technical investigations and scope efforts to completion.
Ensure that deployed software is scalable and reliable.
Provide timely and appropriate communication to business owners, stakeholders, and users on issue status and resolution.
Mentor members of the engineering team on their technical skills, guide development standards and help define our application architecture.
Organize training and career development opportunities for your team.
Qualifications:
10 years of development experience and
Development leadership with focus on Java, Web technologies, distributed architecture.
Previous experience working with MVC frameworks like Spring MVC (preferred)
Experience with object oriented design with a bias for rapid development, platform reusability, maintainability, and supportability
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Demonstrated maturity, judgment, negotiation and analytical skills.
A strong drive and passion to learn about new business models and internet technologies.
