As Director of Product Management for VMware Cloud Foundation Service you will help lead VMware’s efforts to realize the full vision of providing customers with their own private, secure, software defined datacenters deployed on-premises or on public cloud infrastructure.

• 7+ years experience as a product manager on a complex and technical software project of significant scope. At least 2 years experience working on SaaS-based solutions.
• 3+ years experience working with VMware’s software defined datacenter (SDDC) stack or individual components, including vSphere, VSAN, NSX, vRealize, VDI or desktop virtualization products.
• Exposure to leading public cloud Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) solutions, such as Amazon Web Services, Google Compute Platform, Microsoft Azure, or IBM/SoftLayer.
• Ourstanding communication skills. Verbal, written, and presented content.
• Strong desire and ability to connect with customers and solve customers problems in an innovative and elegant way.
• Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to establish a strong relationship with engineering in which you are seen as the “voice of the customer”.
• Strong analytical reasoning skills and a bias toward data-driven decision-making.
• Strong technical knowledge of datacenter infrastructure across compute, network, storage, and management, including both features/capabilities and administrator operations.
• Technical background that includes exposure to distributed systems, API design, and system performance. A computer science degree is desirable.
• Experience working with and influencing executive leadership.
