Mashable is seeking an experienced individual contributor to support Mashable’s indirect revenue growth, strategy and new partnership development. The Sales Director, Mashable Private Marketplace will be responsible for leading programmatic Private Marketplace sales by leveraging a highly consultative approach designed to maximize revenue growth and ensure optimal client service both internally and externally. This includes: serving as the day-to-day PMP contact for Mashable’s DSPs and ATD partners cultivating relationships and seeking out new opportunities; prospecting new PMP clients; monitoring existing campaigns to extend current partnerships and maximize revenue impact.

The Day to Day

Lead programmatic sales efforts, working with a cross-functional team of company stakeholders (Sales, Integrated Marketing, Operations, Revenue Operations, etc) to drive indirect revenue growth
Create, build and manage relationships with clients, agencies, DSPs, SSPs, and trade desks and other relevant demand sources
Work with the internal Sales teams on Programmatic strategy, proposals and RFPs, including regular trainings with Sales and new hires to educate them on programmatic best practices
Create, manage and monitor existing PMP campaigns to optimize and maximize revenue opportunities for unsold inventory across desktop, mobile and video channels
Serve as an expert and evangelist on key programmatic business trends, best practices, and ad technologies to proactively communicate with executive team and educate sales force and develop strategic programmatic products, feature improvements, and roadmap
Must Haves

3+ years of digital media/cross-platform sales or buying experience, with 1+ years experience in programmatic ad sales and/or buying, revenue operations and/or business development
Strong leadership and management skills,
Strong understanding of and experience working in programmatic media ecosystem (including exchanges, ad networks, DSPs, SSPs, DMPs, trading desks, 1st and 3rd party data, etc) with strong relationships within the space
Excellent communication and presentation skills with an ability to solution sell and address both business and technical audiences
Strong analytical thinking, negotiation, strategic problem solving, organizational, and time management skills
Ability to travel 10%-20% of the time
Bachelor’s degree from accredited college or university
