Outbrain is seeking an experienced Marketing Director to lead marketing efforts for the Americas region (North America and Brazil). Reporting to the Director, Global Brand and Sales Marketing, this individual will play a key role building upon our position as the leader in content marketing. In addition to creating and implementing a marketing plan supporting the business teams, you will also be responsible for ensuring the corporate brand message identity are implemented consistently across the territory.

You will work closely with the NYC-based Global Sales Marketing team and other regional marketing leads within the organization to develop and execute marketing strategies to increase sales leads and build our brand.
In this role, you can expect to:
Play a key role in Outbrain’s growth through effective brand building and lead generation activities.
Work with the Director of Global Brand & Sales Marketing to implement compelling customer centric and data driven communications (regional event activations, client presentations, email program, sales collateral) to effectively reach customers and prospects and grow our thought leadership.
Work with key marketing counterparts across the organization to deliver consistent communications and develop best practices.
Work closely with the Americas General Manager, business development, sales and account management teams to deliver measureable and ROI positive marketing opportunities.
Think strategically and have a strong working knowledge of the advertising marketplace for online content (mobile, social and video).
Manage and mentor our Marketing Coordinator
Work closely with the Business Insights team to develop smart, strategic insights to best support the Outbrain brand story in the region.
Work closely with the Creative Services team to design presentations and visualizations of marketing materials that are on brand.
Actively identify and understand emerging trends, opportunities and partnerships to give our sales and marketing messages a competitive edge.
Develop and execute customer relationship management (CRM) programs.
Collaborate with the Global Communications lead on press strategies, as appropriate.
Define metrics and oversee reporting for all marketing initiatives
To be successful in this position, you are:
Proven: You have at least eight years of experience in media marketing with a background in publishing, agency or the media sector. You have a track record of developing compelling marketing strategies and managing a multi faceted budget.
Knowledgeable: You have a solid understanding of digital technologies, media trends and the content marketing landscape.
Motivator: You’re a team player with strong interpersonal skills that engage internal team members at all level as well as clients. Your ability to interact proactively with sales, account management, business development and executive leadership does not go unnoticed.
Logistical Master: You see the big picture. When given a big, elaborate task, you approach it with a clinical precision and attention to detail. Even better, you have experience with event management and promotional activations.
A Multi-tasker: A juggler of sorts; you work quickly, prioritize effectively and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Communicative: Your enthusiastic demeanor complements your strong communication and presentation skills. You are a strong writer and editor with the ability to avoid marketing jargon and deliver a clear strategic storyline, while accurately articulating our brand and assets both internally and externally.
Flexible & Resourceful: You are comfortable with uncertainty and able to move and adapt quickly. You can mobilize and deliver BIG with limited resources.
Savvy with Tools & Systems: You’re a whiz in PPT, Excel and have experience with GA, Silverpop and Salesforce (and if you don’t, you aren’t afraid to quickly master them).
