Director Portfolio Management Philips San Diego

In this role you will be responsible for leading the Portfolio Management activities for the Image Guided Therapy Business Group (BG) which includes the IGT-Systems, IGT-Devices and IGT-Business Innovation Units (BIU’s).
You will be working with the BIU leaders and individuals from Finance, M&A, Marketing, Sales and Program Management to gather market information (market share, market trends, growth projections, clinical areas of interest) and establish, validate and maintain the information required to make effective investment decisions for the BG program portfolio.

This information and decision making will be key components in setting BG strategy and annual operating plans.

Your responsibilities
Establish, validate and maintain core repository of key program information including required investments, program timing and projected revenues for all programs across the BG.
Support key operating mechanisms such as yearly Strategy Plan, Annual Operating Plan and Quarterly Progress Reviews with analysis of program information for effective trade-off based decision making.
Work with I2M Excellence team to define roadmap for Portfolio Management and act as point person with the BG for deployment and coordination across the BIU’s.
Act as point person for the BG to collect, consolidate and report key metrics relative to I2M performance in each of the BIU’s.
Work closely with the IGT-D management and program teams to implement a portfolio management process and to ensure standard business cases are implemented in all our NPI projects.
Your Experience
Bachelors in business development, strategic marketing, Finance or engineering. Masters preferred
10+ years’ experience as business development, portfolio management, strategic marketing, program management for a business unit or large functional group
Experience with finance related to global development organization
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Gather and structure market information (market share, market trends, growth projections, clinical trends, economic development) in relevant IGT clinical areas
Establish and maintain a portfolio management process to prioritize organic and inorganic opportunities
Establish, validate and maintain core repository of key program information including required investments, program timing and projected revenues for all programs across the BG.

Your Competencies
Deep understanding of portfolios management, road mapping and program management
Good understanding of financial controllership of R&D budgeting and spend in a global environment
Ability to influence strategic decision making at executive level
Understanding of the dynamics of a capital equipment and disposable businesses including purchasing cycles and revenue opportunities
Ability to lead through influence across multiple business units and geographical locations
Capacity to identify key financial themes and impacts including underlying drivers across disparate business units
