CORPORATE EVENTS SPECIALIST
The Corporate Marketing Events Specialist / Manager is responsible for identifying, planning and executing a variety of event-based programs, including tradeshows, customer/partner events, product launches, educational sessions, media/analyst briefings, etc., that will help NVIDIA meet its business objectives.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Understand NVIDIAs business goals and identify/recommend event-based programs that will help NVIDIA fulfill its objectives
- Define event goals, strategies, and ROI measurement criteria and drive planning meetings with stakeholders and virtual teams
- Project manage from start to finish, including milestones, progress and deliverables
- Manage third party vendors such as exhibit house, production company, A/V providers, etc.
- Establish and monitor event budget, negotiate fees and pricing
- Identify other marketing opportunities around an event beyond exhibition space including speaking opportunities, guerrilla and viral programs, and onsite lead-generation activities
- Manage creative deliverables for event, including signage, demo and collateral development
- Work closely with IT to track demo equipment inventory, make necessary upgrades and/or procure additional equipment as needed
- Coordinate logistics including shipping to and from events, set up and tear down, hotel rooming lists, meeting schedules, staffing schedules and training meetings, post-show satisfaction surveys and reports
- Run on-site reception/check-in desk
- Conduct tradeshow, industry, vendor and venue research
- Maintain tradeshow/event calendar
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- BA preferred in Business but not required, if strong background and experience in events.
- Creative and dedicated individual with 2 to 10 years of corporate event marketing experience, preferably in the PC, high tech or gaming industry
- Demonstrated success in managing large tradeshow exhibits
- Product launch and user group planning experience involving elaborate A/V and stage sets
- Strong project and time management skills
- Marketing-minded, not just project-minded
- Ability to multi-task, be detailed oriented while meeting tight deadlines under pressure
- Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills
- Needs to be extremely organized, detail oriented and finesse to drive virtual teams
- Able to work independently and follow process with minimal supervision
- Must be available to travel for week-long periods and work weekends
- Must be able to stand/walk for long periods of time and lift heavy boxes (30+ lbs)
