Technical Program Manager, Project Fi Google Mountain View

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects using your engineering expertise. You plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating them to project stakeholders. You're equally at home explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical trade-offs in product development with engineers.
Using your extensive technical and leadership expertise, you manage projects of various size and scope, identifying future opportunities, improving processes and driving the technical directions of your programs.

Your job as Technical Program Manager, Project Fi is pivotal to our success and growth. Responsibilities
Manage complex schedules that involve both internal and external engineering teams.
Use your telecommunications background to contribute to technical design and implementation.
Track projects and tasks, communicating schedule and technical considerations to senior leadership.
Multi-task and prioritize activities for quick execution of critical path work items.
Take responsibility for whole portions of the product with real substance and drive them to closure.
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications:
BA/BS degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
2 years of experience as a practicing engineer in the telecommunications space.
2 years of experience leading or tracking technical projects to launch.

Preferred qualifications:
Technical experience with mobile operator technologies, processes, and operations.
Technical experience with cellular radio basebands and signaling; experience working with radio hardware vendors.
Knowledge of wireless standards used by mobile operators (e.g., CDMA, LTE, etc.).
