Technical Program Manager, Network Engineering CDN Deployment Facebook Menlo Park

Facebook is seeking a Technical Program Manager, Data Center and Networking, with web and enterprise infrastructure environment experience. The projects will support the Infrastructure Engineering organization whose responsibilities are Network Growth, Network Management, and 24x7 upkeep of the Facebook web site. This is a full-time position based in our Menlo Park office and will report to the Group Technical Program Manager. The TPM will assist with backbone, edge, datacenter, and optical projects.
Responsibilities

Develop and manage end‑to-end project plans and ensure on-time delivery of Point-of-Presence (POP) deployments, upgrades, and ongoing support.
Manage cross‑functional projects in a matrix organization interfacing with a range of infrastructure areas, including data center, network, hardware systems, & capacity management.
Provide hands on program management during analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and post implementation phases.
Perform risk management and change management on projects.
Provide day‑to-day coordination, communication, and quality assurance for projects and tasks.
Drive internal process improvements across multiple teams and functions.
Interface with engineering and business owners on project requirements and scope.
Requirements

B.S. in a technical discipline or equivalent experience.
Four or more years of Data Center Operations or Networking experience
two or more years as a Technical Program Manager.
Experience with CDN Networks including hardware and preferably also software.
Experience with Project Management tools.
Experience with procurement processes for network hardware, fiber capacity, and Co-location leasing.
Track record of delivering data center electrical/mechanical infrastructure and network cabling.
Experience scaling medium to large-scale network, co-location, and/or data center infrastructure.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organizational and coordination skills along with multitasking capabilities to get things done in a fast paced environment.
Excellent interpersonal skills, including relationship building and collaboration within a diverse, cross- functional team.
Experience understanding application requirements and translating needs into data center and network capacity plans.
