The Technical Account Manager (TAM) is responsible for ensuring customers get the most value from their Google Apps and Google Cloud Platform investments. A TAM establishes deep and lasting customer relationships and provides customers with technical and project management leadership and aligns these projects with business goals through a deep understanding of each customer’s business.

As a TAM, you will develop strong relationships with your assigned key customers, connecting with senior business executives and IT stakeholders, developing an understanding of their business requirements and goals, and how they are using, and intend to use, Google Apps and Google Cloud Platform solutions. Leveraging this customer knowledge and your expertise, you will help customers achieve their strategic goals for Google Apps and Google Cloud Platform.

Working with our partners and internal teams, you will bring expertise in deployment, maintenance and optimization of technology in complex enterprise IT environments. You will be seen as a trusted advisor who understands enterprise IT’s strategic and architectural challenges, and are able to engage directly with executives at our partners and large enterprise customers.

More than just providing excellent support to our partners, we are looking for someone who will identify problems and create permanent solutions. Responsibilities
Establish and maintain a position as key strategic advisor to business executives and IT stakeholders at Google for Work’s largest Google Apps and Google Cloud Platform accounts, ensuring their business priorities are met using Google for Work solutions.
Become an expert in Google Apps and Google Cloud Platform solutions to provide effective operational and technical advice around these technologies. Work with customer technical leads, client executives, and partners to manage and deliver successful migrations to cloud solutions.
Help program manage Google Apps and Google Cloud Platform initiatives at our largest and most strategic customers. Understand customer needs and help shape Google’s long term product strategy and be a champion of Google’s “product innovation story”.
Work with customer technical leads, client executives, and partners to manage and deliver successful migrations to cloud solutions. Develop best practice recommendations for Google for Work partners based on the experience gained during customer engagements.
Channel customers’ feedback to Google product management and engineering to ensure the best possible in-production experience, and assist in prioritizing product requirements by communicating customer needs and impact; drive operational improvements at Google based on customer insights.
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications:
BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.
5 years of experience implementing technical, B2B programs.
Experience architecting, developing or maintaining cloud solutions in cloud environments such as AWS, Azure and Google Cloud Platform.
Experience working with a cross-functional and geographically dispersed team and customer base. Ability to travel (domestic and international) up to 30% of the time.

Preferred qualifications:
MBA or a graduate degree in a management, technical or engineering field.
7 years of experience in project management and new technologies deployment (solution design, sales engineering, or professional consulting experience).
Strong account management, client service and/or management consulting experience.
Experience working with channel partners, systems integrators and third party developers to deliver successful solutions.
Proven ability to present technical materials effectively to diverse stakeholder groups and to engage effectively with senior executives of large enterprises on both technical and non-technical matters.
