This Sr. Director reports to the VP of HR Global Functions. This position will serve as a key member of PayPal’s Global Compliance & Ethics’ (GC&E) organization leadership team and will have full responsibility for leading people strategies, across the company’s global compliance & ethics organization. Within this critical client group, this position will work in partnership with PayPal’s People Centers of Excellence including Global Rewards (all compensation and equity programs), Talent (for talent acquisition, talent management/succession planning, org effectiveness, learning & development, workforce planning) and People Operations (for employee relations, compliance, HR operations).

The successful candidate will have:
15+ yrs of progressive human resources leadership experience in organizations known for having high-impact, commercially-oriented human resources functions globally
A high degree of commercial acumen and business fluency. Capable of actively participating in the stewardship of the business.
Drive results in a change/transformation environment by leveraging superior influence management skills rather than by mandate or authority.
Sr Management stature with superior communication skills and the confidence to state a leadership or business position on difficult issues. Ability to drive results in a positive, collaborative fashion with other senior business leaders.
Leading and influencing global teams in a highly multi-cultural setting.
Experience leveraging a broader programmatic approach to achieve HR operational excellence in support of the execution of business strategies.
Stature and courage to deliver frank and thoughtful feedback and coaching to senior level executives.
Track record of driving organizational capability, building bench strength and driving effective leadership succession.
SME across the broad range of human resources sub-functions.
Strategic and practical understanding of how to leverage organizational design and transformation models will be critical.
Experience in assimilating to a new organization and track record of rapidly gaining insight and credibility and achieving results.
Experience operating in a shared services, matrixed organization.
Track record of working in a flat organizational structure and a willingness to roll up shirt sleeves to drive results.
Prior experience helping organizations manage through change (mergers, acquisitions, divestitures).
Prior experience operating in a business (non-HR) capacity a plus.
Ability to grasp the business challenges and opportunities associated with the intersection of payments and technology.
Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree in Business Administration preferred.
