Apple is looking for a leader with a deep background in leading an operations center, providing security services to employees of a multinational company, incident command, and program building. We need an expert to help develop the our physical security capabilities, increase the efficiency and effectiveness of security for our employees, and manage critical incidents affecting Apple on the local, regional and global levels. Key Qualifications

Excellent writing skills; ability to critically review and edit the work of others
Prior security program management background
Knowledge of telecommunications (VOIP, ROIP) technology, telepresence, wireless communication, computer aided dispatch (CAD), digital storage and retrieval systems (VMS), alarm systems preferred, PSIM's, PSAM's, signal/alarm monitoring, access control principles, command and control principles, organizational management and supervisory principles, and patrol deployment and performance metrics preferred.
In-depth knowledge of current global, cultural, geopolitical, and other socio-economic conditions in order to relate the significance of such events to the company’s global presence, operations and potential business impacts.
Leadership and management skills necessary to command the action and confidence of others during fast-breaking crisis situations. Supervise Apple and contract security staff, including candidate intake, training, on-boarding, day-to-day performance reviews, and leadership through complex, fast moving emergency and non-emergency situations.
Ability to conduct training in all areas associated with the GSOC, Access Control and crisis management.
Strong interpersonal skills required to establish and maintain positive relationships with other Apple employees throughout the world; international experience preferred
Experience presenting to large groups and senior executives
Background formulating, implementing and critically reviewing security plans
Experience conducting physical security assessments
Available to work nights, weekends and holidays
Handle on-call responsibilities
Travel 30-50% of the time
Description

Manage day-to-day operations, supervise Apple’s GSOC 24/7 employees, along with the control room operators supplied by third-party vendors. Establish and maintain operational SOPs in support of the GSOC, local SOCs, access control and Executive/Emergency Operations Center (EOC). Ensure SOC and DC technical and operational interoperability. Establish and manage training plans for the GSOC team and establish a leadership development program to foster their professional development. Ensure serviceability and accountability of GSOC equipment and software; formalize a GSOC technology acquisition plan. Ensure technical systems and procedures meet the operational needs of Apple Global Security. Align with other security teams (New Product Security, Investigations, InfoSec, SecOps) within Global Security, both regional and functional. Standardize physical spaces at local SOCs based on GSOC standard; design, plan, deploy and sustain SOC's globally. Build relationships with law enforcement, government agencies and security professionals throughout the region Work with Apple colleagues globally to develop a high level command of Apple’s business and needs Develop a strong understanding of growth and development plans Coordinate with human resources, employee relations, and legal on security-related issues involving Apple employees and third parties Build relationships with business unit representatives, the facilities team, contract guards and other vendors to understand the environment and special security needs within each building and for each business group

Education

Bachelor’s degree, plus five years relevant experience or 10 years relevant experience, with demonstrated organizational and leadership success
