The Director will lead a large team within a larger global software company focused on the global Retail industry. This position will lead the roadmap development for a strategic set of products. This particular position will be a key member of the software Retail Leadership Team reporting directly to the Retail VP of software engineering.
*Enhance the software development lifecycle by applying industry best practices, processes and metrics.
*Partner with Solution management for defining product roadmap, budget and scope
*Lead and implement an Agile – SAFE methodology
*Manage the roadmap, features to respond the market needs and achieve business objectives
*Own quality assurance for the product
*Manage the operations and cost of the full lifecycle development of the product
*Contribute to the continued evolution of the strategy for the solution in the relevant industry
*Provide technical thought leadership within the business while working with major customers and partners
*Work cross-functionally inside the business and across the global organization with key support partners to achieve goals
Qualifications
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
*Bachelor’s Degree in a technical discipline
*10-15 years of related experience, Retail industry specific experience is preferred
*Experience leading a product strategy and a large team of software engineers
*Experience in leading Agile (SAFE) development practices – Major advantage
*Excellent written and oral communication skills
*Ability to effectively multi-task; Ability to drive issues to effective resolution; *Ability to find solutions to challenging, time-critical problems
*Ability to navigate the complexities of a global, matrixes organization
