Johnson and Johnson is currently recruiting for a Senior Director of Engineering and Platform Solutions to be located at any J&J facility in Asia/Pacific, EMEA or the Americas.

The key responsibilities for this position include:
Provides global leadership, plans, and directs:
All Non Manufacturing Technology Platforms (GMP and non-GMP utilities, facilities and infrastructure). Standard Design Platforms (SDP’s) provide standardization and leverage for frequently used technology areas. Ensures SDP’s are executing with excellence and providing proper support to Affiliates.
A leader who is responsible for a team of engineering professionals that direct the engineering and design process for major capital construction projects around the globe
A leader who is responsible for a team that builds and sustains enterprise-wide collaborative networks. Accelerates awareness, usage and impact of collaborative network solutions (Knowledge Management).
This leader will work closely with various internal and external stakeholders.
Internal: Technology CoE Leaders and Associates, WWETO Leadership, JJSC Leadership, Facilities, Real Estate, Strategy & Services
External: Make, Make Engineering, Make CoE’s, Quality, EH&S, Commercial, R&D and Procurement.
Member of the World Wide Engineering & Technical Operations Leadership Team that sets the strategy and objectives for the organization and monitors progress.
Collaborates with Make, Make Engineering and Facilities leadership to identify the Standards to be developed/deployed
Ensures that SDP teams create equipment/process standards
Ensures best practices/templates for SDP’s are established.
Ensures SDP’s are properly resourced and have robust deployment/training plans.
Develops multi-generational plans/technology roadmaps.
Enforces standards
Accountable for SDP interactions with Affiliates
Leads a group of SDP-Leaders in all regions as well as the Engineering & Design and Networks leaders:
- sets specific goals for the team and monitors progress
- develops leadership and development goals with staff
- ensures alignment through regular communication (1:1 and team)
Participation in PM extended LT meetings to ensure global project portfolio is adequately supported from a design perspective
Provides direction for Global Engineering Council meetings, involving all segments senior leaders, focusing on sharing best practices and developing talent.

Qualifications
It will be required to have a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Science or Engineering or equivalent degree and a minimum of 15 years experience. An advanced degree with a minimum of 12 years experience is an asset for this position.
Related Functional/Business experience managing a Cross Functional Team in a Global Environment is required for this role.
A minimum of 5 years experience managing a technical staff and developing individuals within your organization is required for this position. The ability to control budgets and cost is required. Experience in management of capital construction equipment and projects are required.

This position could require from 30% to 60% international travel.
