The Director, Welding & Machining Operations is responsible for managing all hands-on operational aspects of Westinghouse’s Operating Plants Business. This position is a key leader, reporting to the Vice President, Operating Plant Services, Americas and Asia. Through a respectful, constructive and energetic style, guided by the objectives, vision and values of Westinghouse Electric Company, the Director must ensure that the proper operational controls, administrative and reporting procedures, and people systems are in place to effectively grow the organization and to ensure financial strength and operating efficiency.

In this position, a Director of Welding and Machining Operations can expect to be responsible for the following:
Implement standards contained in Westinghouse "Codes of Business Ethics & Conduct." Ensure that all employees reporting to this position are informed about the standards and related policies, and enforce them within this supervised activity.
Spearhead development, communication and implementation of effective growth strategies and processes.
Drive Installation Services and subsidiaries to achieve and surpass sales, profitability, cash flow and business goals and objectives.
Establish achievable operational initiatives for improvement in Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery and Employee Relations.
Collaborate with others in Westinghouse to develop and implement plans for operational infrastructure of systems, processes, and personnel designed to accommodate the rapid growth objectives of Installation and Modification Services.
Understand global customer needs and ensure they are properly served during project execution, as well as considered in product and service development.
Lead growth efforts to build new and further develop existing business in Asia.
Measure effectiveness of all internal and external processes. Provide timely, accurate and complete reports on the operating condition of Installation Services.
Attract, motivate and lead a high performance management team. Provide mentoring as a cornerstone to the management career development program through the 9-Box Leadership Process.
Represent Installation Services with clients, investors, and business partners as a proactive business partner.
Foster a success-oriented, accountable environment within Installation Services.
Provide day-to-day leadership and management to Installation Services that mirrors the adopted mission and core values of Westinghouse.
Ultimate responsibility for the implementation and adherence of the Installation Services Quality Program.

Minimum Requirements The successful candidate for this position will possess the following:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
10 plus years of related management experience including at least 5 years of field experience.
Must possess a comprehensive understanding and knowledge of global electric utility customers including goals, organization and driving influences to ensure a close strategic relationship
Experience managing a service business with profit and loss and sales general management responsibility
Successful management assignments of progressive responsibility and size
Managed a multiple levels of employees including managers, professionals and non-exempt personnel establishing and managing performance metrics.
Experience with analysis and measurement for capital and R&D investments; developed criteria, and ranked for selection
Experiences resolving sensitive customer issues
Experience in proposal development, project execution and follow-up including risk assessment processes
Business development assignments, terms and conditions, relationship and customer management, sales force management
