Key Qualifications

Minimum of 15 years of sales leadership experience; experience managing managers, and leading large geographically-spread field teams, is essential
A deep understanding of the consumer electronics and carrier business is also essential
Demonstrated track record of successfully motivating an agile and highly skilled sales organization
A strong and respected leader of people
Outstanding communication, presentation and influencing skills
Exceptional relationship building skills and ability to work with virtual teams across internal groups at Apple; as well as teams within partner organizations at all levels
Ability to move fluidly between developing strategy and diving in to the details
A high level of resourcefulness and comfort operating in a highly ambiguous working environment
Strong analytical and commercial skills
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required; MBA or equivalent preferred
Frequent travel required
Description

Reporting to the Vice President, Integrated Customer Experience (ICE), US Channel Sales, this position is a critical, senior leadership role with responsibility for optimizing sales and customer experience across all product lines within Apple’s leading retail and carrier partners. Your job will be to lead and inspire a vibrant and talented organization of Apple Solutions Consultants (ASCs), a large field-based team that act as ambassadors for the Apple brand at our channel partner stores, and provide the link between our customers and our products. Strategic and innovative, you will work cross-functionally with executives from our partners, and internally, to drive the growth of this multi-billion dollar business and ensure we remain committed to unparalleled customer service. Complex and challenging, it is a role that acts as a bridge between Corporate HQ and the field: fantastic interpersonal skills, a savvy business brain and a passion for flawless execution are the keys to success. Additional responsibilities include: •Work with your team of sales leaders to establish aggressive but realistic goals for each region that meet/exceed forecasted targets for the retailer/carrier •Partner closely with the Channel Programs, Training, Marketing and Finance teams to ensure the timely execution of key corporate assets, merchandising and branded fixtures •Develop and execute launch strategies for each new product that maximizes sell in and sell through opportunities •Manage the quarterly and annual ship estimate for key US retail and carrier partners •Recruit, develop and retain a talented field sales team with the necessary skills to meet and exceed their goals •Create strategies for the ASC program that ensure it continually evolves and best leverages the assets of our channel partners, driving sales growth and maximizing resources •Manage headquarter partner relationships that ensure Apple branded programs represent a win-win proposition for both parties •Collaborate with partners to develop a consistent marketing coverage plan that increases awareness of Apple products •Communicate with other Apple sales teams, and with the World-Wide Channel Sales Programs team to stay abreast of the broader global strategy and ensure we are always delivering best-in-class solutions to our retail and carrier partners.
