The Director of Global Media (DGM) is a new role for the organization and will report to the VP of Marketing as its fearless leader. You will be responsible for developing a global media strategy, localizing it, and bringing it to life across a variety of digital and traditional channels, as well as a number of target segments that range from B2C to enterprise B2B.
As the DGM, you will deliver campaigns that not only increase revenue, customer and awareness growth for Shutterstock, but do so with the ability to measure and prove ROI along the way. In this role you must have an appreciation for the art of marketing, but it requires substantial analytical chops as you’ll need to be able to tell that story through data. You will work closely with many parts of the organization, including product, technology, sales and the rest of the marketing teams to accomplish aggressive goals that will keep Shutterstock growing fast, innovating and staying at the forefront of our industry.

Responsibilities:

Developing strategies and executing plans to help grow brand awareness, preference, engagement, ROI and ultimately increase revenue and margin from both new and existing customers who span segments from consumer to small business to enterprise
Working with regional leaders to adapt the global strategy and execute locally
Managing, mentoring and inspiring the team to deliver their best work, every day
Playing a key role in marketing planning and budget/goal/forecasting development and maintenance
Refining KPIs and dashboards for daily/weekly/monthly program monitoring, tracking and reporting;
Ensuring the team has the right support, tools and focus to achieve results that exceed expectations
Identifying opportunities and making business cases for new tools, agencies, partners and research as needed
Staying ahead of the curve to apply ongoing knowledge of market trends, technology and best practices
Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree
Have a wealth (8+ years) of hands-on experience with online and offline media planning and execution
Deeply rooted in digital marketing, yet also fully adept at running integrated campaigns involving traditional media channels
Understand the differences and can adapt strategies across consumer, SMB and enterprise targets
Preferred Qualifications:

Possess a “direct response” mindset coupled with “brand sensibilities”
Have an analytical mind, obsess over the details and enjoy solving problems - you wake up each morning with excitement to look at yesterday’s results and instinctively find ways we can do even better
Easily strike a balance thinking strategically and executing tactically
Are known to be an Excel guru; you love pivots and v-lookups
Are a master of multitasking and time management
Thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
Boast excellent, proactive communication skills, verbal and written
Like to deliver results and make an impact on an organization
