As the Director of Engineering you will be responsible for providing technical leadership to the development of the next generation Inventory Management Systems for Global eCommerce. The Smart Inventory Management System (SIMS) team is responsible for building data driven systems to manage inventory planning and deployment. With our growth in customers, these products need to deliver at Walmart scale to ensure that a rapidly expanding product assortment is available across a sophisticated fulfillment network.
Lead cross functional teams that build solutions to enable sophisticated automation and workflows by implementing cutting edge models and algorithms that operate on massive amounts of data
Lead the design and development of high performance and scalable solutions Help the team leverage and contribute to open source technologies

Minimum Qualifications
BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field
10+ years of solid hands-on technical understanding and grasp of technologies for the Web environment
Experience with building large scale eCommerce systems
Experience in similar roles at prominent Internet companies, with detailed knowledge about scaling issues and solutions
Strong leadership skills in managing teams of engineers/managers
Ability to initiate cross-function collaboration with PMs, Business and Development
