We are looking for a top performer and exceptional leader with proven online conversion track record and business leadership to join our band as Director of Conversion Strategy. You will lead a team responsible for developing and implementing our strategy and approach to convert Spotify Free users to become paid subscribers.

The role is based in our NYC office with frequent travel to our headquarters in Stockholm and other company locations. You will report to the VP, Direct Subscription Business.
What you’ll do

You will be responsible for understanding customer, industry, and competitor trends and behaviors across relevant online verticals and assess which opportunities present conversion potential for Spotify
You will be responsible for assessing current conversion performance across Spotify’s user journey and identify new conversion opportunities
You will be responsible for crafting a holistic conversion strategy that outlines near term and longer term conversion opportunities
You will act as key business stakeholder for our product teams that implement product solutions to improve conversion
You will be an important member of the Direct Subscription leadership team and work closely with your peers in executing initiatives that drive subscriber growth and retention
You will lead a team of conversion managers providing context, direction and coaching to bring exceptional performance out of each individual on your team
Who you are

You have at least 12+ years professional experience both from a rigorous and analytical environment (eg. strategy consulting) and in an online consumer business (eg. e-commerce, online media, communications, social media)
You have a proven track record of accelerating online sales and can point to specific examples of strategies and initiatives that you have spearheaded resulting in increased revenue generation
You are skilled at leading and executing complex projects spanning multiple stakeholders, and know how to get things done in a larger organization where you are not always in direct control of all the resources and competencies to get the job done
You can navigate both the business and product domain and understand the intricacies and complexities in bringing product solutions to market
You are an exceptional leader who can motivate and rally your team as well as other stakeholders to follow your lead and implement initiatives
You have a strategic mind and can derive insights, recommendations and action plans from qualitative market trends, consumer feedback and large data sets
You speak English fluently; more languages and international experience a plus
You hold a MBA or a similar degree from a top ranked business school
